Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus is a well-known and loved hymn most often heard during the Advent and Christmas season although appropriate in worship services year roung. It is commonly set to the tune Hyfrydol composed by Rowland Hugh Prichard, a Welsh textile worker and amateur musician in the 19th century. It remains today a familiar and popular hymn for all generations. This arrangement is an Intermediate Piano Solo.

One of the standard Advent hymns is Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus, also known by it's hymn tune Hyfrydol. This piano arrangement has a pulse that keeps it moving forward. Beginning in the key of F, it modulates into G in the middle of the 2nd verse, where is also moves easily from 4/4 to 3/4 several times. This would make a lovely prelude or offertory during the season of Advent.
