SKU: A0.1399497

Composed by Alfred Bryan and Fred Fisher. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Celtic,Film/TV,Irish,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Timothy Stapay #982786. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1399497).

Peg o' My Heart was written in 1912 by Alfred Bryan and was based on a musical comedy by the same name. While it was first performed in New York City, the song has long been associated with St. Patrick's Day because of the Irish connections in the musical.

The beauty of this song lies in its ability to transcend time and connect with listeners on a personal level. Its simple yet profound lyrics capture the essence of love and longing, allowing listeners to reflect on their own experiences and emotions. Whether it reminds you of a lost love, a distant memory, or a cherished moment, “Peg O’ My Heart†has a way of evoking raw emotions and stirring the soul.

Lyrics:

Peg O' My Heart,
I love you,
We'll never part,
I love you, hear little girl,
Sweet little girl,
Sweeter than the rose of Erin, are your winning smiles endearin',
Peg O' My Heart,
Your glances with Irish art entrance us,
Come, be my own,
Come, make your home in my heart.

Composed by Anne Britt. Contemporary. Score. 3 pages. Anne Britt #3380451. Published by Anne Britt (A0.741155).

This fun, offbeat beat was written as part of the Family Suite and is dedicated to my son, Ryan. A lot of people know that Ryan is good at sports, a hard worker, and a dedicated student.  Many have witnessed his amazing ability to eat.  But a few of us also know and appreciate his goofy, spontaneous side.  He brings a lot of life, laughter, and energy to our home.  Having taken Spanish in high school, he could tell you that un poco loco means a little crazy – and that’s meant as a compliment!  He once expressed his love for food in a variation of the song, O Christmas Tree, that he called, O Cheeseburger, and a little bit of that managed to work itself into this piece, in his honor. 3 pages.

By Kathleen Ryan. By Adolphe-Charles Adam. Arranged by Kathleen Ryan. Christmas,Classical,Holiday,Sacred. Score. 3 pages. Indigo Mesa Music LLC #721807. Published by Indigo Mesa Music LLC (A0.1120562).

“He appeared and the soul felt its worth.†Kathleen Ryan's arrangement of the French religious song by Adolphe Adam, performed on her Christmas album, The Rebirth of Light. Kathleen's notes: Again, preferring silence to constant motion. I’ll confess that I was not inclined to record this piece. My husband really wanted it included on The Rebirth of Light, but I resisted because I had first heard it sung by a soprano with super-warbly vibrato. I thought the song was sort of tacky, although I did recognize that the tackiness came from the singing and not from the music itself. When I explained all this to him, he pointed out that any arrangement I created would never be “tacky†and that it wouldn’t have warbly vibrato either! I promised to play with it and just hear what I could create. I started with a sort of American Methodist hymnal 4–part chordal arrangement. And then the rolled chords appeared and away I went! Lyrical, spacious, spiritual. Suitable for use in church.
