La primera parte puede ser tocada por una persona, pero la segunda incluye percusión sobre la caja del piano y hacer sonar las cuerdas del mismo. Se recomienda que las dos personas del segundo movimiento sean percusionistas. Es una obra contemporánea basada en las sonoridades y compuesta a partir del orden de los colores del cuadro que aparece como portada de la obra.
