Instrumental Duet Harpsichord,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534706 Composed by Anne-Louise Brillon de Jouy. Classical,Concert,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic,Standards. Score and parts. 15 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #6357725. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534706). The composer and harpsichordist Anne-Louise Brillon de Jouy was born in Paris in 1744, and died in 1824 in Villers-sur-Mer in Normandie. She married Jacques Brillon de Jouy 22 years her senior, and had two daughters, Cunégonde and Aldegonde, Anne-Louise Brillon de Jouy had a salon in Passy whose guests included the violinist Jean-Pierre Pagin and cellist and composer Luigi Boccherini. Benjamin Franklin was also a frequent vistor and Madame Brillon has an extensive correspondence with him, including the period after his stay in Paris during the American Revolution .Many of her compositions were purchased in 1957 by the American Philosophical Society of Philadelphia, in honor of this friendship. In 2021, French Pianist Nicolas Horvath recorded a landmark CD for Grand Piano (GP872-73) of Brillon’s keyboard noatas with extensive notes by Aliette de Laleu, Deborah Hayes and Nicolas Horvath and Christine de Pas The keyboard sonatas published here are intended to document this reocrding. The twelve numbered sonatas, marked “Troisième Recueil de Sonates pour le pianoforte ou clavecin avec accompagnement d’un viiolon ad libitumâ€, are in the hand of a copyist and are contained in a bound volume labeled as her Troisième Recueil (‘Third Collection’) and dedicated to Mesdemoiselles Brillon. Evidently the composer at some point chose these 12 sonatas to be copied as a sampling of her work for her two daughters. The manuscript is in the collection of the American Philosopical Society in Philadelphia. The Sonata no. 3 in C major is in two movements: Adagio and Allegro Both of these movements utilse many passages with syncopation (No. 3: I), and motives and figuration for alternatinghands (No. 3: II).

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1324805 Composed by David Tsvariani. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. David Tsvariani #913014. Published by David Tsvariani (A0.1324805). Fugues Op. 17 for Piano by David TsvarianiIntroduction:Allow me to share a few thoughts about my recent composition, Fugues Op. 17, for piano. Comprising four individual fugues that can be performed separately or as a complete suite, this work explores a range of tempos, keys, and thematic nuances. I've endeavored to create a modest collection that, when performed together, offers a glimpse into various emotional landscapes.Fugue No. 1 in C Major (Allegro vivace):The journey begins with the lively Allegro vivace in C major, a modest 01:44 celebration of joy and energy. It is my hope that this piece, with its brisk tempo, serves as a lively opening to the collection, showcasing the pianist's skill and the intricate counterpoint I aimed to achieve.Fugue No. 2 in B-flat Major (Andante):The second fugue, marked Andante with a duration of 02:25, introduces a contemplative mood in the key of B-flat major. In my modest attempt, this piece invites the listener to reflect and explore a more introspective side, providing a gentle contrast to the preceding fugue.Fugue No. 3 in A Major (Adagio):With a deliberate pace of 02:57 and an Adagio tempo, the third fugue in A major emphasizes melody and expression. My humble intention was to create a serene and emotional landscape, allowing the listener to experience a deeper connection with the music.Fugue No. 4 in D Major (Allegretto):The final fugue, an Allegretto in D major, lasts a mere 01:40. In a departure from convention, I introduced an Eastern or oriental scale, aiming to infuse the composition with a unique character. It is my modest hope that this unexpected touch adds a distinctive flavor to the overall work.Program Notes:As I share Fugues Op. 17, I am mindful of the privilege of having my compositions interpreted by talented performers. My sincere aspiration was to create a humble collection that weaves together varied emotions and styles. The inclusion of a melodic third fugue and the exoticism of the fourth fugue seeks to expand the tonal palette modestly. I hope that, as a whole, this collection speaks with a quiet resonance, leaving room for interpretation and connection between the music, the performer, and the listener. With gratitude, David Tsvariani.

Published by Panagiotis Theodossiou (A0.1108224). Archanes was an ancient city of the Minoan era located on the Greek island of Crete. It used to be the summer palace of the Minoan Kings, but is also a mystic city of my imagination disclosing all its charms and mysteries throughout the time. From the ancient city itself and the palace with its imaginary king to the ancient necropolis, from the fountain and the medieval castle to the sacred mountain of Jiuchtas. seven images are unfolded in each part of the work. Seven landscapes before a fantastic visitor, who wanders among these imaginary landscapes... The parts: I. The old city from afar (Allegro semplice) II Night in the ancient palace (l' istesso tempo) III. King Archos (Allegro feroce) IV. The Ancient Necropolis (Adagio mystico) V. The Old Castle (lie a fanfare) VI. The Fountain (l'istesso tempo, flowing) VI. The Sacred Maountaiun (l' istesso tempo, maestoso, con forza) The composition process of the work 'Archanes for piano solo op.91 follows a mix of tonal and atonal elements. It is dedicated to pianist Konstantinos Papadakis (director of the Summer Piano Academy in Archanes, Crete,, Greece).
