Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1199167 By Kathleen Ryan. By Kathleen Ryan. Arranged by Kathleen Ryan. Classical,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 6 pages. Indigo Mesa Music LLC #798231. Published by Indigo Mesa Music LLC (A0.1199167). English folk song.I have set this melody in several arrangements; this is actually the most rambunctious of the lot! This is bravura piano playing and not for the faint of heart. The right hand has a long passage of double notes at 16th-note speed. The left hand plays 8th-note many-octave-spanning double notes for much of the arrangement, and then has double notes at 16th-note speed for the final section. To perform this will require a lot of practice and then sheer (relaxed!) bravado.Forest Green is really my all-time favorite melody. I anticipate setting it a dozen or more different ways. For example, this is the melody the English use for the Christmas carol O Little Town of Bethlehem, and I have arranged it more lyrically for that song. Perhaps someday it will make it onto a CD.I have also used this melody for the final section of my arrangement of All Through the Night on Under the Greenwood Tree. That is a far more lyrical arrangement as well. This melody, in a highly arranged version, also makes a cameo in These Hands Held Music, on Passages. All of these arrangements are currently available in pdf. Who knows, perhaps someday I’ll create an entire album of arrangements of Forest Green!~ Kathleen

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.870545 Composed by Bryan Wells and Ronald N. Miller. Arranged by Christina Fordham. Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Christina Fordham Vera #6188903. Published by Christina Fordham Vera (A0.870545). This is a late intermediate solo piano arrangement of the classic 1960s Stevie Wonder song Someday at Christmas. Just as relevant today as it was back in the '60s, the words and sentiment of this tune are captured in a reverent and modern way in this solo piano arrangement. It includes the lyrics for all verses on the title page (but not within the sheet music). This arrangement is not meant to follow the key changes and verses exactly as Stevie sings them.  Rather, it is truly a solo piano re-arrangment meant to convey the message through sound.  From the twinkling, classic Christmas intro into (Bb major), through a more rhythmic verse (B major) and then a broader, sweeping arpeggio verse (F major), finally winding down to a simpler arpeggio pattern on the final verse (Bb major) and a twinkling, thoughtful ending. As a professional pianist and piano instructor, I have been arranging solo piano pieces for decades. It is my hope that this arrangement will be a unique and delightful experience for both the player and those who hear it this holiday season. Enjoy!

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1160853 Composed by Nick Norton. Chamber,Children,Classical,Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Bathysphere Music #761164. Published by Bathysphere Music (A0.1160853). Three Piano Pieces for Shira is a gift for my friends Matthew and Sarah's daughter, Whitney. I was thinking about how much I’d love to teach her about music someday and got into listening to piano pieces written for young musicians that, though easier to play, don’t compromise artistically. The Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach, Schubert’s and Tchaikovsky’s Albums for the Young, and Stravinsky’s Les cinq doigts (a personal favorite) were inspirations for my work here.Though these three pieces are a probably a little tough for a two year old, and I have no idea if she’ll ever take up piano, I do hope that other young musicians will be able to get something out of them. They may be a good way to introduce advanced students to some of the techniques commonly used in modern music, such as mixed or phasing meters and spatial notation. In any case I hope that Whitney enjoys listening. I enjoyed writing them.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1217783 By The Ritchie Family. By Ary Barroso and S.K. Russell. Arranged by Timothy Stapay/Liberace. Film/TV,Jazz,Latin,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #814316. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1217783). This arrangement of Brazil is written as performed by famous piano artist, Liberace.  This is the same version that he performed on his emmy-award winning TV. show and in concerts around the world.Aquarela do Brasil (Portuguese: [akwaˈɾɛlɐ du bɾaˈziw], 'Watercolor of Brazil'), written by Ary Barroso in 1939 and known in the English-speaking world simply as Brazil, is one of the most famous Brazilian songs. Ary Barroso wrote Aquarela do Brasil in early 1939, when he was prevented from leaving his home one rainy night due to a heavy storm. Its title, a reference to watercolor painting, is a clear reference to the rain. He also wrote Três lágrimas (Three Teardrops) on that same night, before the rain ended.Describing the song in an interview to Marisa Lira, of the newspaper Diário de Notícias, Barroso said that he wanted to free the samba away from the tragedies of life, of the sensual scenario already so explored. According to the composer, he felt all the greatness, the value and the wealth of our land, reliving the tradition of the national panels.Władziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor.  A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1008279 Composed by Christopher McWilliams. Baroque,Contemporary. Score. 6 pages. Christopher McWilliams #4632439. Published by Christopher McWilliams (A0.1008279). For the Prelude, I have incorporated variations of the iconic chord progression from Pachelbel's Canon in D major and took the liberty to quote three themes from other sources at three distinct points throughout. The first one marks the conclusion from the first movement of Vivaldi's Guitar Concerto in D major. The source for the second borrowed theme is unknown, and the third theme is derived from the song Somedays featured in Paul McCartney's 1997 album Flaming Pie. The main motive of the prelude is loosely based on a rhythmic figure found in a typical prelude by J.S. Bach. Although the harmony is largely diatonic, I have clearly marked key modulations that descend by chromatic steps during the episodes from B major to B major. .
