Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.803382 Composed by Franz Lehar. Arranged by Paul Taylor. Romantic Period. Score. 2 pages. Paul Taylor #6712525. Published by Paul Taylor (A0.803382). Originally appearing in Lehar's  The Merry Widow opera, this tune has been applied to several types of non-musical things such as apparel, libations and character references, attesting to its popularity in the early 1900's. This graceful yet vigorous waltz has been altered for use as a what ballet practitioners might call an adage, a type of ballet exercise that emphasizes slow, sustained movement. The author of this arrangement has put in extensive pedal markings to add to the proper adage character as used in  prominent ballet companies throughout the world. .
