Here is the full piano accompaniment version in an easier key of my arrangement of Round Me Falls the Night, as heard on YouTube. This beautiful evening hymn is a perfect pairing of a solemn, contemplative melody with uplifting, scriptural lyrics that remind us of the hope we have in Christ, in this life and the next. I found this song in a very old hymnbook, so old that you could feel the raised print on the page, and loved the lyrics so much! However, I felt that a minor melody would suit it in a really special way, so I rewrote it with new choral harmonization using a mixture of minor modes to match the evening mood of the song. This piece works well as a choir anthem for evensong, funerals, or for any more contemplative, low-key service, and is written in a comfortable, singable range for everyday singers. It works well either with a soft organ or keyboard/pad accompaniment or a capella, to showcase the rich vocal harmony reminiscent of Elaine Hagenburg or John Rutter.

Here is the piano solo version of He is Risen, as heard on my YouTube channel with all the other Easter and Holy week music. This piano solo works well for a prelude, postlude, or musical interlude during communion, especially for Resurrection Sunday or any of the Easter Season church services after Easter Sunday! If the full version is being used congregationally or as a sung solo in a service, this is a lovely way to tie the whole service together musically, by using this piano version as a postlude or prelude to make the service match nicely. Most recommended is to use the powerful, sung version as the Easter Proclamation at the beginning of the service, and this piano solo at the end to make a beautifully cohesive service.

As heard on Youtube, this song was inspired by centuries of Christians on Easter morning, proclaiming to each other and to the entire world that HE IS RISEN! And we reply again, HE IS RISEN INDEED! 

This arrangement is beautiful for an Easter morning soloist or as a way to open a church service during the Easter season. It's perfect for a single singer accompanied by keyboard or piano for a powerful, prophetic statement, or a band format with guitar, bass and drums in lead sheet format for a more modern feel. Here is a beautiful, simple advent song I wrote to serve churches through the season of Advent, particularly during the candle lighting portion of each Sunday the weeks leading up to Christmas. This piano solo version is perfect to use as a prelude or postlude to any Advent service or Christmas week service, particularly if the vocal version is already being used by the congregational as a piece of the liturgy. There are recordings available for each of the weeks of Advent and this piano solo as well on all streaming platforms as of November 1, 2024, in case that is helpful to your service preparation or while learning the song. There is also an instrumental track entitled Fill Our Hearts, which is musically cohesive to the main song and is a great song to stream after service, to keep the mood matching and inspire the congregation to leave singing the melody, Let Your love fill our hearts, Jesus, Light of the world.
