Whiskers and Pippin had left the abandoned house behind, but they carried with them something far more valuable than anything they could have found within its dusty walls—a new friendship. As they journeyed through the woods, they discovered that they had more in common than just their fur colour. Their shared curiosity led them to explore new paths, while their cautious natures kept them safe from danger. Every rustle of the leaves, every flicker of movement in the underbrush, became an adventure when they were together.

Day after day, Whiskers and Pippin would meet at the edge of the forest, eager to explore each other’s favourite spots. Whether it was a hidden grove full of the sweetest acorns or a quiet stream perfect for reflection, they found joy in sharing these special places with each other. The once lonely woods now felt alive with the warmth of their companionship. They would chase each other up trees, playfully darting between branches, and when the day grew late, they would sit side by side, watching the sun dip below the horizon.

The fear and hesitation that once filled their first encounter was now just a distant memory. In its place was a deep bond, forged through shared experiences and a mutual understanding. Whiskers and Pippin might have been cautious, but together, they found the courage to explore a world that felt much less daunting with a friend by their side. And so, from that day on, they were inseparable—two squirrels who had found in each other a lifelong companion, proving that sometimes, the best adventures begin when you least expect them.

This event came to be called the first vision. This vision proved to Joseph Smith that God is not dead. God and His son Jesus Christ are alive and love us today. They have not left us alone here in the world to work out our own salvation. The greatest teachers and preachers of our times cannot save us for they are subject to death. Only Jesus Christ could and did break the bands of death. God talks to us today through His prophets. He does not speak to us through those who say He is gone and has left them in charge. The only way to find truth about God is to study His doctrine and then talk with Him. Ask Him if what you are learning is true. With 4,300 Christian religions on the earth today, we can know through revelation from God which is His true church. There can be only one. God told Joseph that He had a great work for him to do. God sent an angel who revealed to Joseph plates of gold. These plates of Gold were records kept by Israelite prophets in ancient America. God brought them to this land of promise before the Jews were carried away captive into Babylon. I know this is true. You can read the Book of Mormon. You can ask God for yourself if it is true. Then you too can know, for God will answer your prayer.

The Raymond Variations for Piano (Set 1),  received its world premiere on 2nd December 2015 at the 1901 Arts Club London,  performed by Lorraine Womack-Banning as part of a memorial tribute concert to  her late husband Raymond Banning (former professor of pianoforte at Trinity  College London).

The Variations  are based on the three Andantino themes which form a central part of the ‘Raymond  Overture’ written in 1851 by French composer Ambroise Thomas: 1811-1896. There are nine piano variations in total; these include a  mix of both full and short partial variations (including a very short  declamatory two chord introductory variation). The variations are not numbered  or set-apart in a conventional manner, rather they form part of a continuous  whole, and are separated only by bridge passages and/or cadence points; they last  a little under eight minutes in duration, and strongly exploit the passionate  elements of Thomas’s themes. They have been written for the most part in an  accessible tonal style (with a passing nod to Messrs. Beethoven and J.S. Bach) and  are based predominately in the home key of D minor, but they do also take  advantage of many 20th and 21st century harmonic techniques where deemed appropriate: e.g. added note chords; cluster chords; percussive chords, and melodic  deflection. In particular, the interval of the major 7th and its enharmonic  equivalent(s) (the most distinctive interval in the main andantino theme from   the overture) is heard in various different guises throughout the variations:  this includes its inversion the minor 2nd which has a very distinctive sharp  dissonant quality. Much play is made of these intervals – to somewhat humorous  effect in variation 8 (the joker in the pack) heard some three quarters into  the set, here the dissonant interval is pounded out double forte before hastily  leading into some boisterous cluster harmonic instability; then quietly begins  variation 9 which duly brings the set to a close. Look out for the sting in the tail!

Nearer, My God, to Thee is a 19th century hymn by Sarah Flower Adams which was allegedly the last song played on the RMS Titanic before the ship sank. The bandmaster of the rescue ship, the RMS Carpathia spoke with survivors who reported they had requested the Titanic bandmaster to play hymns. The hymn they most wanted to hear was Nearer, My God, to Thee.

About the composer: Brenda Dillon is best known for her contributions to the Recreational Music Making movement. In addition to her contributions to the RMM Track for MTNA's Pedagogy Saturday, she also presented group piano and RMM sessions throughout the U.S. As well as serving as a teacher trainer, she has written extensive articles on both group piano and RMM teaching. They share stories, laugh, and explore the corners of the house together, learning more about one another with each step.

Excitement builds as they realise there’s so much more to discover outside these walls. With a shared eagerness to show off their homes, they decide to leave the abandoned house behind. Whiskers leads the way, Pippin by his side, as they venture into the woods, ready to explore each other’s worlds and embark on new adventures together.

The Sound of Silence, originally The Sounds of Silence, is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over several months in 1963 and 1964. A studio audition led to the duo signing a record deal with Columbia Records, and the original 'acoustic' version of the song was recorded in March 1964 at Columbia Studios in New York City and included on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.. Released on October 19, 1964,[2] the album was a commercial failure and led to the duo disbanding; Simon returned to England, and Art Garfunkel to his studies at Columbia University.

In 1965, the song began to attract airplay at radio stations in Boston, Massachusetts, and throughout Florida. The growing airplay led Tom Wilson, the song's producer, to remix the track, overdubbing electric instruments and drums. This remixed version was released as a single in September 1965. Simon & Garfunkel were not informed of the song's remix until after its release.

The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending January 1, 1966, leading the duo to reunite and hastily record their second album, which Columbia titled Sounds of Silence in an attempt to capitalize on the song's success. The remixed single version of the song was included on this follow-up album.

It was featured in the 1967 film The Graduate and was included on the film's soundtrack album. It was additionally released on the Mrs. Robinson 'EP' in 1968, along with three other songs from the film: Mrs. Robinson, April Come She Will and Scarborough Fair/Canticle.

The song was a top-ten hit in multiple countries worldwide, among them Australia, Austria, West Germany, Japan and the Netherlands. Generally considered a classic folk rock song, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being culturally, historically, or aesthetically important in 2012, along with the rest of the Sounds of Silence album.

Originally titled The Sounds of Silence on the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., the song was shortened for later compilations, beginning with the 1972 compilation album Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits.[3]

It combines light-hearted, feel-good, picturesque English communal village activity music with some melodic and poignantly heartfelt romantic numbers - all which are a pleasure to play. There are nine movements lasting a total of about 18 minutes. The contents are: 1. Title Theme, 2. Harry's Theme, 3. Anya's Theme, 4. Pantomime Horse Polka, 5. Tortoise Tango, 6. Autumn Montage, 7. What a relief! It was just another squirrel all along! Whiskers and the other squirrel are cautious to meet each other but they walk up to each other slowly and carefully, ready to run at any moment in case something happens. Whiskers thinks to himself about all that fear and chaos he felt earlier that was all for nothing, he is very relieved to find out that the scary creature he was so scared about was just another squirrel.

Whiskers doesn’t have many other friends so he’s happy to find someone else in these woods to become friends with. The scary abandoned house that they’re in seems to fade away now that he feels comfortable with this other squirrel. What an adventure it has been so far, from finding this abandoned house to running for his life to making a new friend. I wonder what her name is?
