Remembering Paris is a beautiful relaxing piece for Solo Piano in E minor.

As preparation for the syncopated melody in bar 5, tap quavers (eighth notes) in your left hand and the melodic rhythm in your right. You'll notice that some of the right hand notes fit in the gaps.

The semi-quaver pattern from bar 10 onwards can be interpreted in many different ways. We've grouped it into fours here, why not try threes or sixes and shift the accent around to suit your style.

Fazıl Say composed this Cadenza on Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 as early as 2001. Meanwhile, this early work by the Turkish composer and pianist has become part of the repertoire of international concert stages and is known particularly for its ironic refraction: Say imitates, among other things, a music box playing Beethoven, thus closing the gap between Viennese Classicism and our time.
