Blue Skies is one of Irving Berlin's great songs.  It has been recorded by many vocal artists and featured in several movies.  In it's auspicious premier in the 1926 musical Betsy the audience demanded 24 encores of the piece. I think this is due to the melodic genius of Irving Berlin.

This arrangement is at the mid intermediate level. The catchy melody must always sing.  The rhythm is very catchy and the marked staccato chords will give the song the lightness and transparency to support the buoyant melody.

This arrangement is great for students and will help them develop their rhythmic and stylistic sense.  I think adult players will find this popular standard a great inclusion for their repertoire.  If you need something to bring a smile someone; this may be the perfect piece.
