It incorporates all 5 verses, beginning in Bb major and modulating to C major. (The 3rd verse is partially set in Bb minor.) Although arranged for advanced piano, it is not overly difficult. It would make a lovely prelude or special music for any church service. Note: This arrangement is included in my collection, “In Loving Memory,� also available on this site.

Fun tune to learn and improvise over.  I used it instrumentally in church for jam as a prelude, and recorded this version at home, and the jam was well received with an awesome drummer.  This website only allow one version.  Other to be published on itunes later. A short piece I wrote after my niece Roman Ellis Cullins was born after just 26 weeks into her development. She was such a frail, almost alien-looking thing that had several machines hooked to her just to keep her alive, and had to spend the first few months of her life in NICU.Thankfully, Roman has fully developed with few complications and now lives at home with my sister and brother-in-law. With this piece, I tried to capture both the sweetness and the oddity of Roman's journey thus far, choosing strange, often crunchy harmonies. Keep in mind that it's mostly in 8/8, which an odd meter. The beat grouping is 3+3+2-notice how the left hand is beamed.
