Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1021975 Composed by Brendon G.M.C. Holden. Broadway,Children,Musical/Show. Score. 8 pages. Brendon Holden #6290991. Published by Brendon Holden (A0.1021975). In the beginnings of the creation of this song it was about building a quantum computer and slowly I have developed it to include the host of the quantum computer (Mr. Rags.) In this song Mr. Rags takes those-who are willing to the city of Orion; he is a glimpse of the inward workings of the portal and the quantum computer. The sheet music Is Self-Published in the book Behind the Night Sky: Finding Run Personal Computer PBR. Although the MP3 Clip has Musical instrument Strings not written in the sheet music, the basic Rhythm of Train through the portal-is in the Sheet Music and I encourage others to experiment with the song, to add strings as you see fit.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.933333 Composed by Juan Carlos Guerra González. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 49 pages. Juan Carlos Guerra Gonzalez #5829119. Published by Juan Carlos Guerra Gonzalez (A0.933333). Full Score for my Salmo 8 for SSAATTBB - Piano - Strings OrchestraVocal Score may be purchased separately.Bundle of Full Score, Parts and Vocal Score may be purchased separately.Text in Spanish.Salmo 8 is my homage to creation. In my years as Assistant Conductor and Pianist for the National Choir in El Salvador, I enjoyed working and performing works like this one. I wrote this piece with tho main ideas in mind: first, to create with easy harmonies that could appeal to anybody and second to be able to create a work that can be performed in concert halls. Conductors and Choristers will find interesting (and challenging) rhythmic patterns that give freshness to the work and invites listeners to enjoy the music. Text is from the Bible. The work could be performed at churches and concert halls. The work is scored for SSAATTBB, Piano, and String Orchestra. This is the full score. Parts are sold separately. You can also get a bundle with the score & parts. Here's the program note text in Spanish:Esta obra es mi humilde homenaje a la creación. Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.828227 Composed by John Hatton. Arranged by Paul Thurmond. 20th Century,Baroque,Christian,Sacred. Score. 7 pages. Paul Thurmond #4968929. Published by Paul Thurmond (A0.828227). Tune: DUKE STREETUse: Prelude, PostludeOne Sunday my church was singing Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun as the opening hymn. It’s our tradition that the last stanza of a hymn is sung in unison, so that I as the organist can change the harmonization and keep things interesting. Sometimes I know ahead of time what I’m going to do, and sometimes I make it up on the spot.On this particular morning I planned on being spontaneous. (Can spontaneity be planned?) When we got to the final stanza, I threw on the 16′ pedal reed and went to town.I don’t know if this is the case for all musicians, but while I’m playing my brain is working on several different levels. Most of these are involved in actually playing the music, but there’s also a running commentary on how things are going. This commentary is usually really boring: It’s going okay. It’s going okay. It’s going okay. Sometimes the messages are more interesting: Uh-oh. She just dropped her mute. I missed that chord; remember to circle it when we’re done. My page turner appears to be on fire. So: We’re in the final stanza of Jesus Shall Reign Where’er the Sun. Big, majestic hymn. Over a hundred congregants and choir members are enthusiastically singing in unison. I’m leading them from the organ with an improvised accompaniment that involves all of my limbs. It’s fair to say that I was concentrating hard.Suddenly the commentary part of my brain breaks in: Dude, your feet are totally playing Canon in D. Cool!Canon in D is the most famous work of Johann Pachelbel, a German composer who preceded Bach by a few decades. It’s overused at weddings, but it’s actually a really good piece of music. The original is for three violins and a basso continuo part, which would usually have been played by harpsichord and cello. In this case, the basso continuo plays the same eight measures again and again throughout the piece. This technique of repetition is called a ground bass. While that’s going on, the violins play several different themes on top of it.When I was improvising that Sunday, my feet had accidentally wandered into that ground bass part, which happened to fit nicely with the melody we were singing. During the sermon (sorry Pastor!) I started going through the violin themes in my head, seeing if any of them could also match up with the hymn tune. Some of them worked and some didn’t. I decided to write a sort of theme and variations, where the hymn tune appears in various forms. Sometimes it’s played along with one of the violin themes, and sometimes a violin theme serves as an interlude on its own. And except for one passage, the left hand is always playing some version of the basso continuo theme. I also changed the meter from 4/4 to 3/4 to make it more interesting. It culminates in a climax worthy of a king. I hope you enjoy it.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.999484 Composed by Alex Lewis. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 8 pages. Alex Lewis #6302621. Published by Alex Lewis (A0.999484). Free Flow is about the free flow of information. Freedom of speech is one of the most important pillars of a liberal society. And it seems as though that's being eroded too easily these days.I am reminded, ironically, of the quote by Henry Ford after showcasing the now-famous Model-T, You can have this vehicle in any color you want, as long as it's black. It seems as though the appropriate quote that the media has adopted is, You may have any opinion you want, as long as it's our opinion. I don't know why black was the only option for the Model-T, but perhaps there was a good excuse for it. There is no good reason to silence anybody's voice. What I want in this country is diversity. After all, doesn't everybody agree that diversity creates a better life than monotony? But I'm not just talking about Asians, Blacks, Whites, and others living in the same country. I'm not just talking about people of different ancestries working in the same economy. The pinnacle of diversity is when people of different philosophies and ideologies work together, collaborate together, and fight together. Censorship, then, is the greatest enemy of diversity. You may think censorship is needed. You may think censorship is justified. But censorship is used as a weapon against 'dangerous' people. I will clarify. Censorship is not being used against criminals, but against individuals with controversial ideas. Free Flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1459635 By Billy Dean. By Billy Dean and Richard Leigh. Arranged by James Michael Stevens. Contemporary,Country,Film/TV,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. Score. 4 pages. James M Stevens Music ASCAP #1038590. Published by James M Stevens Music ASCAP (A0.1459635). Written June 16, 2024, this is an original piano arrangement of the song by Billy Dean, “Somewhere in My Broken Heart” (originally released by Randy Travis and later as a single by Dean). Interestingly, the year before this song was released in 1990, Billy Dean called me and ask about my considering playing piano for him on tour in his band. He was one of the most kind and gracious people I have ever spoken to. At the time I wasn’t as familiar with his music, but after speaking with him I found out he had the number one country video in the country and the next year he released this song which was the CMA Song of the Year. It is a great song I’ve always loved and always wanted to play, so this week I did. BTW, the reason I didn’t was because I was working in a church and wouldn’t be free to travel. Looking back I wish I had. Hope you enjoy it.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425802 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 5 pages. Damien Gauci #1006562. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425802). I had a lot of fun writing this piece. The idea came from one of my composition friends from my time at University. He enjoyed writing a lot of anime style music - especially using the anime chord progression which is what I use in the composition. I didn’t want to the piece to sound too much like an anime opening so I did alter the chord progression a little here and there just to make it’s own thing.I am quite happy with how this piece turned out though, the chord progression does provide for some really nice and smooth voice-leading which makes the whole composition more seamless. There are a few different melodies in this piece although I did try to use the one melody and create the other ones based off of that. That is a skill I’m still working on and it really pays off when it’s done well.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533319 Composed by Jacques Leguerney. 20th Century,Concert,Standards. Score. 12 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #2343097. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533319). This charming piano solo was first performed by its dedicatee, Jacques Leguerney’s good friend and muse Thérèse Cahen (1897-1944), in the Salle Debussy-Pleyel. They met around 1925. Cahen was the first person outside of his family to encourage his musical aspirations. For years, they met every Saturday to read through and discuss his music. She not only helped him with piano and harmony, but also performed his early chamber works, recruiting from her entourage to help him find high level interpreters for his music. Other early Leguerney works that she premiered included the Trio pour violon, violoncello et piano; the Sonatine pour flûte et piano; and two vocal chamber works presented by the Société Musicale Indépendente (S. M. I.), Epitaphe guerrière and Clair de lune for voice, flute and piano. Their friendship lasted until Cahen was deported from Paris on July 31, 1944, only a few weeks prior to the Liberation of Paris. Working with the Center of the Union Générale des Israélites de France in Saint-Mandé (a Parisian suburb), Thérèse Cahen had dedicated herself to the care of children of deported French parents. She left Paris with these children in the Convoy 77, and was taken to the gas chamber of Auschwitz. She left a letter for him, along with her grand piano, which remained in his apartment until his death. My dear Jacques,It is impossible to write on this little page how much I have appreciated your kindness toward me for years and years, and how much happiness this has given me: there have been thousands of Saturdays, and I thought of them every day of the week. Probably you didn’t realize the influence you have had on me: it seems that my whole personality, my way of thinking and feeling has been transformed by you; it is a very deep imprint. If I am taken and in consequence you read this letter, tell yourself that I will continue to count the Saturdays in order to have an idea of the number of songs composed during my absence and that I will be delighted to hear them when I return. If I don’t return, I definitely want you to keep my piano but I don’t think it will happen and I say that I will see you soon.Very tenderly,ThérèsePS Speaking of tenderness, I think with emotion about the little passage concerning tenderness in your latest song.[La Fontaine d’Hélène]
