Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1425802 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Contemporary,New Age. Score. 5 pages. Damien Gauci #1006562. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1425802). I had a lot of fun writing this piece. The idea came from one of my composition friends from my time at University. He enjoyed writing a lot of anime style music - especially using the anime chord progression which is what I use in the composition. I didn’t want to the piece to sound too much like an anime opening so I did alter the chord progression a little here and there just to make it’s own thing.I am quite happy with how this piece turned out though, the chord progression does provide for some really nice and smooth voice-leading which makes the whole composition more seamless. There are a few different melodies in this piece although I did try to use the one melody and create the other ones based off of that. That is a skill I’m still working on and it really pays off when it’s done well.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111007 By Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy. By Lin-Manuel Miranda. Arranged by Fernando Ramos. Other Arrangements Available: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/fernando-ramos-sheet-music/3016426?isPLP=1 I make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music and, most importantly, that it also makes pianistic sense. Each of my arrangements is made for a specific student, so the results will vary in terms of playing level. Most decisions are based on their current skills and abilities, or where I would like for them to be when they complete the piece. This arrangement was made for an early intermediate student working in Level 2 of the Keith Snell Books. She is in the NFMC Class of Elementary III. This was strangely not very tough for her at all. The tied notes can be tricky, but they are worth the effort. Have fun with this piece, especially with dynamics and pedal. It's a great opportunity to explore different pedaling rhythms. The jumping 3rds in measures 35 and 39 may be omitted if troublesome. Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1335343 By Marlowe Haws. By Marlowe Haws. Arranged by Marlowe Haws. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary,New Age,Romantic Period. Score. 6 pages. Marlowe Music Productions #921177. Published by Marlowe Music Productions (A0.1335343). This piece took a long time to compose. I spent about one month working on it and I considered it my masterpiece at the time. It's been many years since then and I had to do a lot of polishing to make it publishable, but I am still rather proud of this one. As the title suggests, the melody goes through many transformations with changes in meter and key signatures. It's much like a theme and variation with lots of transitions. There are some bits where the music takes on my normal dark quality, but this one is actually more of a positive and upbeat song, even a little jazzy at times. I don't think it's too difficult to play except for a climactic part where the left hand has a lot of movement at the same time as the right hand melody. Also the multiple key changes and odd meter changes might be confusing. I was trying to be different and original as I usually am. I hope you enjoy.

Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1408124 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. 19th Century,Classical. Full Performance. Duration 100. Damien Gauci #990694. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1408124). This piece was inspired by Chopin's pieces 'Nocturne in C# Minor' and Prelude Op. 28, No. 4. The solemn, singing melody in the right hand is meant to be played as marked, 'cantabile'. This, along with the left hand's slow moving arpeggios with some consonant and dissonant parts creates a reflective, peaceful mood.Whilst writing this piece I wanted to focus on writing a piece in binary form, as the second half of the piece shows. I still tried to keep the melodic melody in the right hand, but the left hand changes to a waltz-like accompaniment. If I were to write this piece again, I may have explored the first part for much longer and made a nice transition into the second part.As for now, this is my last piece which I composed at an earlier time. I am now going to start working on some new fresh pieces, focusing on certain aspects of music. Thanks again, Damien.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1289409 By Bill Chase. By Bill Chase, Jeff Moore, and Scott Boerma. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary,Jazz,Rock. Score. 10 pages. Jeff Tincher #880155. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.1289409). Here is a song that still thrills me to listen to. If you like screaming trumpets, this song is for you. In the original key from the LP Chase, this song is a fast, driving piece. One note about this arrangement...I know it's next to impossible to play both the melody and the chords in some parts of this arrangement. I wanted to keep the arrangement as it appears in the record as close as possible. I have a fond memory of this song and am sorry you can't experience this version anymore. I was working in a department store electronics dept the year Quadrophonic music came out. Quad was the precursor to Surround Sound. To stand in the middle of 4 speakers facing you and here the opening riffs of this song bounce from one speaker to the next is an experience that is hard to describe. There is a youTube video that has the Quad version posted. But it just isn't the same.

This arrangement was made for a mid-beginner student who completed Level 1B of Alfred's Premier Course and working on Level 2. It was still a little challenging, but it didn't faze him very much. He was simply too excited about playing this song. He is now in the Primary IV Class. Easy and repetitive LH, but beware of all the jumping. Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1165914 Composed by Alex Shapira. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 24 pages. Alex Shapira #766277. Published by Alex Shapira (A0.1165914). The process of gestation for In Search of Lost Meaning took more than 40 years. It is a reflection on our relentless search for meaning, as perspectives change over long periods of time. I started working on the first movement - Abandoned Dreams - in 1977, when I was still in Romania. It was initially a cry against the limitations that Communist regimes inflict on people's dreams and free spirit. More than 40 years later, now living in Texas, I found a manuscript containing the first three movements, transformed them by adding a new perspective, reflecting on my adolescent dreams and what happened to them over time. And then, in 2021 I added the last movement - Never Look Back - closing the loop with an Orphic attempt to focus on the present and look into the future without regrets.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742752 By Juan María Solare. By Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 15 pages. Juan Maria Solare #350886. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.742752). Colores de un otoño incipiente -- Colors of an incipient autumn seven somewhat abstract pieces for piano Recording of Colores de un otoño incipiente - piano in several platforms Colores de un otoño incipiente -- on Spotify In this work, an idea that has haunted me for a long time crystallizes: that the titles of the individual pieces are read like lines of a poem. Colors of an incipient autumn The day declines. Coppery with old leaves, the earth awaits. Innocence Parched by the long vigils. Frugal in the face of excess, He resigned himself to the unfinished And he left a hole of light in this nothingness. Such a poem alludes without great subtlety to decadence and aging. The title Apergaminada por las largas vigilias is taken from a poem by Pedro Lastra. Y dejó un hueco de luz en esta nada comes from a micropoem attributed to Alejandro Güerri, written in memory of Javier Adúriz. This seventh piece, transparent and delicate, pictures a being definitively transformed into light. The idea of desmesura (excess) arises from the prologue by Javier Adúriz to his book Solos de conciencia (1985): Faced with the excess of death, consciousness perceives the weakness of its willful affirmation, the one for which it feels itself unique and safe from all decrepitude. Adúriz was one of the fundamental figures in my artistic training. And apparently he still is. Musically, this cycle of works abounds in harmony of chords by fourths in a minimalist neoclassical aesthetic. The way of working texturally with the piano as an instrument - my instrument - highlights the pedal, the resonances, the third dimension of sound. These seven somewhat abstract pieces were composed at the end of 2019 in and around Bremen, in several cases with my new-born daughter Laura in my arms, trying to put her at to sleep and staying asleep. This explains the cautious nature of the music and its prudent dynamics that never reach a mezzoforte. There were several unsuccessful attempts to release this recording (initially planned for September 2020, at the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere). Finally, the album will be released (on Spotify and other streaming platforms) on 22 April 2022, coinciding with what would be my father's 103rd birthday. It is also autumn but in the southern hemisphere. Recorded on a Steinway B grand piano (serial number: 568208) at the Musikschule Bremen (Germany) with two Neumann KM-184 microphones. Recording and mastering technician: Alexander Derben. For the artwork, the impressive photographer and visual storyteller Leon Drago, from London, has kindly authorised the use of his photograph Pathway, The Garden House and Pergola, Hampstead Heath extension, London. My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music, but most importantly, that it actually makes pianistic sense. Sometimes I even hide exercises in the arrangements that I want a student to work on. All of my arrangements are usually made for a specific student, so the results will always vary. This arrangement was made for a late beginner, Primary III, student working on Level 1-2 of the Alfred's Masterwork Classics series. He is a huge Godzilla fan and was thrilled to be playing this. It was not an easy arrangement for him! But he was resilient and persevered even after I offered to make it easier. It has been a year since he performed it, and he can still play it from memory. The rhythmic melody is difficult to keep up with. Good focus on the pedal and accented notes will help with this. The sudden jump to a higher octave might take some time. Also, the split voices at the end should be encouraged, but can always be ignored.Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.
