These songs are settings of Shakespeare sonnets 128, 73, and 130. Each song is in a different musical style. Sonnet 128 uses William Byrd's O Mistress Mine as an accompaniment with an added voice part (similar to the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria - or more appropriately Lucy's song Schroeder from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Sonnet 73 is in a more modern idiom, and Sonnet 130 is in a romantic style.
