This is an arrangement of the hymn tune Lasst Uns Erfreuen, often associated with the hymn text All Creatures of Our God and King. Full score and individual parts are included. The flute part carries the melody, while the violin part is slightly more difficult with a countermelody and dotted rhythms. The well-known and beloved Christmas carol Away in a Manger is arranged for flute, violin, and piano. It is designed particularly for the beginner or early intermediate student for each of these instruments, and the piano part could also be played by an instructor. The flute and violin alternate playing the entire melody, and then the last time they play together with the flute taking the melody and the violin a newly-composed harmony. The piano plays contiuously, while the flute and violin parts require the performers to count rests. The last four measures of the melody are used as an interlude linking the verses, and at the very end of the piece all three parts repeat this phrase for a fitting conclusion.
