Florence Beatrice Price (April 9, 1887 June 3, 1953) was an American classical composer, pianist, organist and music teacher. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Price was educated at the New England Conservatory of Music, and was active in Chicago from 1927 until her death in 1953. Price is noted as the first African-American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer, and the first to have a composition played by a major orchestra.This short and tuneful piece is perfect in any performance.  This transcription is for tenor saxophone (or euphonium TC) and piano, and the PDF contains the full set of parts.

O mio babbino caro (Oh my dear Papaâ€) is an aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918) by Giacomo Puccini to a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano. It is sung by Lauretta after tensions between her father Schicchi and the family of Rinuccio, the boy she loves, have reached a breaking point that threatens to separate her from Rinuccio. It provides an interlude expressing lyrical simplicity and love in contrast with the atmosphere of hypocrisy, jealousy, double-dealing, and feuding in medieval Florence. It provides the only set-piece in the through-composed opera. This Aria is arranged by Raymond Fenech The duration is 3.21 minutes and it is an Intermediate level piece.
