String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.521705 By Christina Perri. By Christina Perri and David Hodges. Arranged by Sherry Lewis. Pop. 19 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6382349. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521705). A THOUSAND YEARS for Cello Quartet Score 7 pages parts: 9 pages time: 4'33 MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts  however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit  https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through www.baysbest.com/smp-arrangeme/ and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups.  AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations.  ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Sherry Lewis is a professional arranger and musician residing in Northern California. Thank you for your purchase!

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1092481 Composed by Francesco Durante. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Sacred. Score and parts. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #696572. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1092481). Kyrie - by Francesco Durante; String Quartet – Intermediate – Digital Download. “Kyrieâ€, originally written for a four-part vocal ensemble by Francesco Durante, has now been transcribed, edited and arranged by Regis Bookshar, for a String Quartet, consisting of 2 Violins, and 2 Violoncellos. It would be a welcomed addition to any music library. This short composition, which lasts less than two minutes, will provide students with the opportunity to continue to develop good intonation because many of the phrases cadence on a unison note. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (8 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from the Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble’s extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quartet version of this composition for many church services, especially funerals, when we were asked to supply something more somber and introspective rather than the louder, more festive music which many people come to expect from a Trumpet Ensemble. Francesco Durante was an Italian composer who was born on March 31, 1684 at Frattamaggiore, in the Kingdom of Naples. At an early age he entered the Conservatorio dei poveri di Gesu Cristo, in Naples, where he received lessons from Gaetano Greco. Later he became a pupil of Alessandro Scarlatti at the Conservatorio di Sant’Onofrio. He is said to have succeeded Scarlatti in 1725 at Sant’Onofrio and to have remained there until 1742, when he succeeded Nicola Porpora as head of the Conservatorio di Santa Maria de Loreto, also in Naples. He held this post for thirteen years, until his death on September 30, 1755. His fame as a teacher was considerable, and, unlike his Neapolitan contemporaries, who attracted international notice with their operas, Francesco Durante achieved recognition through his church music, along with some vocal chamber and instrumental works. His concern was not quantity. A complete collection of Durante’s works, consisting almost exclusively of sacred music, was presented by Gaspare Selveggi, a Neapolitan art collector and music theorist, to the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. The imperial library of Vienna also preserves a valuable collection of Durante’s manuscripts. The fact that Durante never composed for the stage brought him an exaggerated reputation as a composer of sacred music. He was considered one of the best church composers of his style and period. In his masses, requiems, litanies and Lamentations, he could provide strong expressive moments, as he does in this “Kyrieâ€. In addition to this arrangement for a String Quartet, Regis Bookshar has also made other arrangements of this selection. There are Quartets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I’m certain that this beautiful arrangement of Francesco Durante’s “Kyrie†will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173855 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. 14 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #774008. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1173855). This arrangement adapted for violoncello quartet was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice.Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor sharp, Op. 27, No. 2, is one of his most popular compositions and was an audience favorite even in his day. Written when Beethoven was 31, the Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate in German) was composed after he finished some commissioned works, but there is no evidence that he was hired to write this work. It did not receive its nickname until 1832, five years after Beethoven's death. It was the critic Ludwig Rellstab who compared the music to a moonlighting on Lake Lucerne. This comparison was adopted as a nickname for the work. Called Quasi una fantasia by the author - like its companion Op. 27, No. 1 - the piece was completed in 1801 and dedicated the following year to one of the composer's pupils. Beethoven chose to open the sonata with a slow, hypnotic arpeggio movement, the best known of the entire work. The dotted rhythm of its minimal melody evokes the tradition of 'Trauermusik' (funeral music).

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1172495 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. 14 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #772721. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1172495). This arrangement adapted for violoncello quartet was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change of key, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as for use in ensemble practice between musicians of different traditions.Ludwig van Beethoven began concentrated work on his Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92 in 1811, it was completed in 1812, and was dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, and premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813. It is considered a remarkable example of the more ebullient side of Beethoven's compositional personality and evidence that even after the onset of deafness, he still found cause for musical optimism. The second movement Allegretto is a funeral march in everything but name. Often several contrasting melodic ideas are made to coexist, as if Beethoven were imagining several processions converging on the cemetery at the same time. As he was working on this symphony during the years of the Napoleonic Wars, this experience was probably within his experience. It was also used as the soundtrack to the film Knowing, by director Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, where it is used in the final scene of the film. Beethoven called Symphony No. 7 his most excellent symphony, and a music critic of the time reported, this symphony is the most melodically rich and the most pleasing and comprehensible of all Beethoven's symphonies..

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841364 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn, Samuel Arnold, and William H. Cummings. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 18 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #6098157. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.841364). This year's Christmas publication choice fell on a song very dear to me: Hark! The herald angels sing. The text, inspired by Luke’s Gospel (2:14), appears for the first time in a collection of Christmas carols called Hymns and Sacred Poems in 1739, jointly written by Charles Wesley (1707-1788 ) and George Whitefield (1714-1770), two of the founding members of the Methodist movement. The version we know today is the one adapted by William H. Cummings (1831-1915) from the section Vaterland, in deinen Gauen of the Festgesang zum Gutenbergfest, WoO 9, by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847). The story, however, is more complex and articulated than that. The original version of the text, written by Wesley, bearing the title Hymn for Christmas-Day, had received only slow and solemn music for its verses, music now almost completely discarded. Also, his original opening lines were Hark! How all the welkin rings / Glory to the King of Kings .The version that has been passed to us is the result of alterations made by different hands, especially those of Whitefield, who changed the initial couplet into the one we know today. In 1840-one hundred years after the publication of Hymns and sacred Poems-Mendelssohn composed a cantata commemorating Johann Gutenberg’s invention of movable-type printing. The English musician William H. Cummings finally adapted Mendelssohn’s music around 1855 in order to fit the music to the verses and give it its present look.In this edition we propose the version that every listener expects to hear when reading the title on the programme and, immediately after, one of the few original versions that have reached us in their entirety, that is the one set to music by Samuel Arnold (1740-1802) and available today in The British Minstrel, and Musical and Literary Miscellany, vol. 3, published in 1843.The proposed instrumentations are those of the classical string quartet and the cello quartet. Both variants are very simple to perform and are certainly suitable for small string ensembles formed in musical schools. In the cello quartet version, the only relatively complex part is that of the first cello, which should be left to the teacher or to a student able to play up to the 7th position without excessive troubles.I hope this music can bring you the serenity that made me prepare it.
