Pyotr Tchaikovsky was a late 19th century Russian composer who is well known for both his symphonic works and ballets. The Arabian Dance is one of the movements from his Nutcracker Ballet, often separated into an orchestral suite featuring some of the individual dance pieces from the ballet. 

This arrangement is for TTBBB ensemble, with two tenor parts, one baritone part, and two distinct bass parts. The primary melody lines through the piece are carried in the tenor parts but do occasionally visit the lower voices with the baritone line switching between melody harmony and bass line parts frequently throughout. The two bass lines alternate with carrying a continuous eighth-note line and drone-like notes. The tenor 1 part does push the upper ranges sometimes but the other parts stick to fairly typical ranges. Overall, the piece should be performable by most intermediate groups. There is also a tambourine part for added interest.

Ska/pop band Madness released this song in the 1980s along with a whacky video! This arrangement is not difficult to put together and has interesting parts for all singers; it adds many additional vocal parts to the original and also includes optional car-related percussion rhythms as well!

I've done optional parts for the sax solo parts in the middle; these are provided in C, B flat and E flat to cater for almost any solo wind/brass instrument you have available to play it (possibly a choir member?). The piece still works perfectly well without, however. It is great to perform and to listen to for the audience. Enjoy!

A lush a cappella arrangement of a gorgeous song, mostly in 5 parts (ATTBB), but expanding to 6 and 7 parts for the climactic verse proclaiming I still believe in summer days--and eventually to 9 independent parts for the hypnotic final choruses. Requires an ensemble that can handle the extreme lower (C2) and upper (Eb5) ends of the male choral range. This pop song was originally written to cover quite a vocal range, and therefore aspects of the tune are also shared with solo segments that also feature baritone and tenor, plus a small solo for the bass so they wouldn't miss out. The arrangement features the expected and let's face it, much anticipated, key change.  It also includes a nice gentle finish which stays in keeping with the original song. This is a must-have in your a cappella repertoire - but will likely require leads to be able to sing harmony, unless parts are switched.

An old favourite love song that transcends time and has been played at many a wedding. This arrangement captures the Chicago key changes and the memorable countermelodies of the original song, whilst being firmly based in barber-pop (non-contestable) harmony. The melodic lines facilitate a passionate rendition that will be enjoyed by many a listener as the different voice parts weave their magic around and with each other, particularly in the closing pages of the arrangement where it creatively builds to drive the piece home.
