Co-written by David Bowie, John Lennon and Carlos Alomar, ‘Fame’ is from the 1975 Bowie album ‘Young Americans’. Documenting Bowie’s American experience, the song is simultaneously a celebration of fame, and also a cutting and cynical tear-down of it. Lyrics reference how fame ‘drives you insane’ and ‘makes you hollow’, ‘too cool to fool’.

This energized and compelling TTBB arrangement has elements of a cappella, with 4-part vocal recreation of upbeat 1970s funk grooves. Intermediate level with a couple of more challenging melodic moments in individual parts, it would suit a chorus comfortable with making a pop sound. Suitable for choreography and costume, if your chorus enjoys that.

This classic Christmas/Holiday song from Howard Blake's 'The Snowman' was a massive hit in the UK in the early 1980s, influencing a generation of children on a par with the Charie Brown franichise or the Grinch in the US. Often associated with then boy soprano Aled Jones, it tells a story about flying in the sky with friendly gentle snowman, that gives many audiences the Holiday feels.

This TTBB arrangement was orignally devised for the London Gay Men's Chorus in 2004, and was revived for the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus in 2023 by the arranger, Charles Beale. There is a short Baritone solo at the start.
