Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882468 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Matthijs van der Moolen. Christian,Classical,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Octavo. 7 pages. Matthijs van der Moolen #566713. Published by Matthijs van der Moolen (A0.882468). The version of Beethoven's 'Drei Equale' for male choir was added to the original's first and the last movement by Ignaz Seyfried, a friend of Beethoven. The second movement was performed on a later moment, but the link between the instrumental version (with text by Frans Grillparzer) was not made. I have taken the freedom to put these two together in this score, and transposed it one major second down to make it fit smoothly in between the other two movements. The first and last movement also contained a text in Latin, but since the second movement was only available in German, I also used the German texts for the other movements.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.898554 Composed by Matthew Alan Edwards. Arranged by Matthew Alan Edwards. Baroque,Christmas,Concert,Renaissance,Sacred. Octavo. 7 pages. Matthew Alan Edwards #4266219. Published by Matthew Alan Edwards (A0.898554). Now offering 25% off my SMP price at MatthewAlanEdwards.com/op-7 !Canzona alla terza Verbum supernum prodiens was composed late one night after I was inspired by the chant melody as found in the Hymnal 1982, hymn 63. Rather than compose on the computer as I usually do, I wrote by hand as I determined the best four-part canonic treatment for each of the phrases of the chant. Composing this was akin to assembling a puzzle, both in mindset (this note fits best here) and addictive quality (need to finish this now!). Originally conceived as a short organ piece, I quickly chose to add the English text from the Hymnal 1982 then text directly from the Liber Usualis, a Catholic book of Gregorian chants commonly used until the reforms of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II). This piece is similar in style to an Italian Renaissance canzona or early German Baroque kanon. It should be performed with performance practice of those eras in mind, including lifts after dotted notes, metric accents, and minimal vibrato, especially at cadences. Lines that end in a melisma should be performed by singing the final vowel and placing the consonant at the release of the final melisma note. The first verse may be sung in unison or as a solo as printed below. The verses may be sung in alternatum (odd verses printed below: solo chant, even verses: choir). The first four verses form a complete anthem and the last two verses are suitable as a Communion anthem, or all six may be sung. The SSA Latin version was adapted from the original SATB version for the women of the Hillcrest High School choral program under the direction of Dr. Khristina Motley in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It reduces the original four-voice setting to three voices without sacrificing any canonic entrances. This SSA English version is also suitable for performance by an advanced middle school choral ensemble or for TTB men. Also available as an organ solo or in Latin. Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1050201 Composed by Alan Bullard. 20th Century,Classical. Octavo. 31 pages. Colne Edition / BullardMusic #654578. Published by Colne Edition / BullardMusic (A0.1050201). These three dramatic but humorous episodes in the life of the great king, to texts by Thackeray and the composer, tell us first of all how the elderly King Canute was tiring of life as, no longer young, he even yawned while his favourite male voice choir was performing. The second movement tells of all the victories he had won - but, as the third movement tells us, there was one thing left to do - conquer the sea!  Sadly, however, the sea disobeyed his commands, and 'King Canute is dead and gone, but the legend still lives on'. The story is untrue, of course, but if it happened, though it probably didn't, it would have been in the vicinity of the Battle of Ashingdon, near to the town of South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, UK - where the songs were first performed by the South Woodham Ferrers Male Voice Choir. A specimen copy of the songs is available at www.alanbullard.co.uk Alan Bullard’s choral works are performed worldwide, and many have been recorded and broadcast. He has a growing reputation for music that choirs enjoy performing, and which speaks directly to audiences. The Colne Choral Series contains a range of Bullard’s pieces for adult and youth choirs of all types, including cantatas and choral suites as well as individual movements. Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264702 Composed by Giuseppe Rastelli, Gorni Kramer, and Mario Panzeri. Arranged by Bacco Baccanels. 20th Century,A Cappella,Jazz. Octavo. 6 pages. Bacco Baccanels #857536. Published by Bacco Baccanels (A0.1264702). TTBB Version of the great song by Gorni Kramer. The arrangement is quite basic and is not barbershop like: there is one voice for the main melody (Tenor1) and three voices emulating the armonic infrastructure.(I made also a richer SAATTB version with additional staffs taken from a Pasquale Amico vocal arrangement).TTBB voices follow a simple arrangement: Soprano does the main melody and Tenor, Baritone and Bass do accompaniment: an easy bass line and two voices for the chords.Baritone and Bass often play upbeat in the first bars of most of the phrases (pretending to be guitars or trumpets) and turn to straight beat in the final measures.Tempo is fast, thus singing those upbeat at the right speed can be challenging: bear in mind slowing them down produces a global weakening of the entire song: I suggest Tenor2 and Baritone drink some coffee before singing...To add movement to an otherwise great and funny but simple structure, I added few bars to the original work, starting from bar 79 (F mark); here, pay attention to sing in sync, since the section is very rhythmic. Some background information about the song: written in 1939 under the fascist regime, Kramer was accused of making fun of the fascist hierarch Achille Starace, who used to walk upright in a black shirt, arousing the hilarity of the population. The song thus had to face the censorship of the regime, given that the allusion appeared quite clear. Many years after the composition, Gorni Kramer declared that the piece was inspired not by Starace but by the maestro Pippo Barzizza, with whom, in 1939, Kramer had had an argument during a performance at the Kursaal in Viareggio.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1045085 Composed by American Folk Hymn. Arranged by Mark R Lewis. Christmas,Folk,Holiday,Sacred,Traditional. Octavo. 41 pages. Mark R Lewis #649649. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1045085). The tune for Star in the East first appears in print in The Southern Harmony collection, but is well attested as an American Folk Hymn. The lyrics are partially anonymous but most published versions include verses that seem to have been added by the arranger of that version. This Epiphany song has similar themes to We Three Kings but is definitely a refreshing change from that well known tune. This fun arrangement by Mark R Lewis is for Baritone soloist, TTB choir, a woodwind instrument, and bass instrument. Included is sheet music for C, Bb, and Eb instruments and a bass line which can be played by many different bass instruments depending on what the group has available. The instrumentalists can transpose their parts to different octaves for ease of playing if necessary. The Baritone soloist should be a well experienced intermediate singer and the bass line is very active at times, but the choir and woodwind parts should be performable by most intermediate groups. Also available for Baritone solo w/ SATB ensemble. Vocal Range: f minor Baritone solo - 1 1/2 octaves (Bb2 to F4) Tenor 1 - 1+ octaves (Eb3 to F4) Tenor 2 - 1 octave (C3 to C4) Bass - 1+ octaves (F2 to Gb3) Instrument Range: Clarinet - max 3 1/2 octaves (F3 to A5) can be smaller if octaves are transposed Bass instrument - 1 1/2 octaves (F2 to C4).

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.522421 Composed by Traditional Irish Folk Tune. Arranged by Paul A. Jorg. A Cappella,Christian,Holiday,Sacred. Octavo. 2 pages. Paul A. Jorg #6102165. Published by Paul A. Jorg (A0.522421). The history of the song goes back to the 5th century in Ireland and St. Patrick. In the 8th century, a monk named Dallan Forgaill wrote the Irish poem, Rop tú mo Baile (Be Thou my Vision), to remember and honor the faith that St. Patrick had shown in his defiance of King Logaire of Tara’s decree three centuries earlier. His poetry lived on as a part of the Irish monastic tradition for centuries until, in the early 20th century, Mary Elizabeth Byrne translated the poem into English, and in 1912, Eleanor Hull versified the text into what is now the lyrics of a well-loved hymn. The music SLANE is an ancient Irish folk tune which became a hymn tune when it was arranged by David Evans and set to the Irish hymn Be Thou My Vision in 1927.  This hymn acts as a prayer to our God that He would be the first that we seek after, and continually refocus the direction of our life.  This arrangement is for 4 part male harmony (TTBB) a cappella.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.774723 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Folk,World. Octavo. 13 pages. Sandra Milliken #3863765. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774723). Brisbane Ladies, sometimes known as Augathella Station, is an Australian folk song based on an English naval song titled Spanish Ladies. The song probably dates from the time of the War of the First Coalition (1793-96) when the Royal Navy carried supplies to Spain in support of that country’s resistance to revolutionary France. It then probably gained further popularity during the later Peninsular War when British soldiers were transported to Spain to assist rebels fighting against the French occupation by the forces of Napoleon.Spanish Ladies is a tale of British naval personnel sailing north from Spain and along the English Channel to their home port. Due to its popularity, several variants of Spanish Ladies later appeared in various parts of the world. American whalers sang a version called Yankee Whalermen. In Newfoundland it appeared as We’ll Rant and We’ll Roar. Special lyrics were written to the tune for the Bluenose, a famous Canadian sailing ship plying out of Nova Scotia. In Australia, around 1880, another set of lyrics appeared, written by Saul Mendelsohn who was a storekeeper in the small Queensland town of Nanango. Brisbane Ladies tells about the drovers who bring the herds of cattle overland from western Queensland to the markets in Brisbane. There the drovers spend most of their money and time with the ladies before setting out for home in search of the next herd of cattle for market. The places mentioned in Brisbane Ladies are mostly small towns along the stock route that stretched some 750 kilometres north-west of Brisbane towards the small town of Augathella, on the banks of the Warrego River. Augathella, at that time, marked the convergence of three major bullock tracks from Morven, Tambo and Charleville.

Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1399301 Composed by Alessandro Palazzani. 21st Century,Classical,Opera,Renaissance,Romantic Period. 70 pages. A work by Alessandro Palazzani #982575. Published by A work by Alessandro Palazzani (A0.1399301). AMORI (Loves): Eight madrigals on texts by Giovan Battista Marinofor four-part male choirCONTENTS:1. OCCHI (Eyes)2. ERRORI DI BELLA CHIOMA (Beautiful hair wanderings)3. BELTA’ CRUDELE (Cruel Beauty)4. BELLA CANTATRICE (Beautiful Singer)5. AMOR SECRETO (Secret Love)6. PENDENTI IN FORMA DI SERPI (Pendants in the Shape of Snakes)7. LONTANANZA CONSOLATA (Consoled Distance)8. OCCHI (Eyes)The collection comprises eight Madrigals that alternate between different musical styles. In odd numbers, there are more meditative pieces that closely follow the text, faithfully illustrating its keywords; instead, in even numbers, there is a more regular treatment of musical form, with bipartite or tripartite structures and thematic returns of the music, organized into livelier and more rhythmic movements. To give unity to the composition, the author adopted a series of chordal motifs that serve as leitmotifs, formed by two or three chords symbolizing some basic concepts that cyclically reappear in the various pieces (love, life, death, etc.).The ensemble comprises four parts: first tenor, second tenor, baritone, bass, which can be performed by soloists or by a choral group. In the piece Bella Cantatrice, it is possible to entrust the main melody to a tenor soloist. Although a reduction for piano is printed in the score, its purpose is only to support the voices during rehearsal. Public performance is intended for a cappella voices.

SATB chorus divisi & soprano saxophone / clarinet - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1123 Composed by Sven Hagvil. Secular. Octavo. 65 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1123. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1123). 8.27 x 11.7 inches.Sven Hagvil's Symphony of Solitarities is a choral symphony in three movements (This oceanic feeling, Lonelinesses, Solitude) for mixed choir and soprano saxophone (or clarinet). The piece, which is around 30 minutes, is composed for S:t Johannes Chamber Choir in Stockholm, conducted by Karin Oldgren. At the first performance Anders Paulsson, world renown saxophonist to whom the symphony is dedicated, was soloist on soprano saxophone. The lyrics, written by the composer, are dealing with man's existential loneliness, a loneliness that we paradoxically share with all other people. In the second movement some choreographic elements are added, as well as solo parts for the choristers. The instrumentalist is expected to improvise parts of the music. The last movement, Solitude, is available as an off-print for SSAA and TTBB.
