Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 5 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1098785

Composed by Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles. Arranged by Stephen Smith. A Cappella,Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday,Pop. Octavo. 12 pages. Stephen Smith #702637. Published by Stephen Smith (A0.1098785).

A lush a cappella arrangement of a gorgeous song, mostly in 5 parts (ATTBB), but expanding to 6 and 7 parts for the climactic verse proclaiming I still believe in summer days--and eventually to 9 independent parts for the hypnotic final choruses. Requires an ensemble that can handle the extreme lower (C2) and upper (Eb5) ends of the male choral range. (Either that OR a rare individual like Aerhyn Lau, whose amazing multi-track recording of the arrangement is excerpted here with permission. Check out the complete recording--and many other choral delights--on Aerhyn's bandcamp page!).

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.865876

Composed by Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles. Arranged by Charles Beale. Pop. Octavo. 14 pages. Charliebmusic #5313409. Published by charliebmusic (A0.865876).

Co-written by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson, 'Winter Song' is a Holiday (Christmas) song, which does not mention the season in the lyric. Written in 2008, it wistfully expresses a universal longing to be with your loved one in December, when the world and nature itself can feel loveless. The polyphonic outro 'round and round' section, which builds to a spectacular and colorful conclusion, expresses a yearning for connection with the lyric 'Is Love Alive?'. Optimistically, it reminds us that Spring will come and we will rebuild.
