This compassionate and intimate ballad was written by Coldplay, and appeared on their break-through 2005 album 'X&Y'. It is a song about being there for someone who is at the end of their emotional rope.

This arrangement starts quite and still, and, as in the original, the piano/band parts build to a surprising and emotional climax, where the choir comes back in at full belt, singing 'tears stream down your face'. A change happens, comfort is given, a deep connection is made and the song ends as it started - quiet and still.

This short arrangement has a solo opportunity for tenor or baritenor, and the TTBB choral parts are simple and satisfying.
