Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1294672 By Crosby Stills Nash and Young. By Neil Young. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Country,Historic,Rock. 10 pages. Jeff Tincher #885026. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.1294672). Here is the one song that really portrays the time of the Vietnam War. It memorializes the tragic event on the Kent State University campus on May 4, 1970. In the original key from the single, this song tells the story in such a short period of time. In this arrangement I also included a short history behind that song that could be used as a narration at performances. This arrangement include the live ending from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's 4-Way Street double LP. Duration = 3:15. Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.856210 By Meat Loaf. By Jim Steinman. Arranged by Liz Garnett. A Cappella,Rock. Octavo. 14 pages. Liz Garnett #4313721. Published by Liz Garnett (A0.856210). This is an extended drama in rock 'n' roll. Meatloaf's story tells of young love, young lust, hasty decisions and adult regret in a multi-sectioned song that verges on the operatic in its narrative urgency and expressive range. The arrangement features a female soloist, and an optional spoken narrative section in the middle. It is shorter than Meatloaf's version, but still a full five minutes in length. It was originally commissioned along with my other two Meatloaf arrangements, but the three together are just two expressively huge to work as an a cappella show set. This one would work as a strong statement-piece, either as a closer, or the penultimate number followed by something shorter and lighter.Vocal Ranges:Tenor: B flat 3 - C5Lead: D3 - G4Bari: B flat 2 - G4Bass: G2 - A flat 3Solo: G3 - B flat 4www.HelpingYouHarmonise.com

Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1374352 By Elton John. By Elton John and Lee Hall. Arranged by Chip Prince. A Cappella,Barbershop,Broadway,Musical/Show. 8 pages. Chip Prince #958955. Published by Chip Prince (A0.1374352). This song by Elton John, from the musical Billy Elliot, was originally written for the character of young Billy to sing as an emotional and revealing statement about what dancing means to him. This confession can, in this context, describe the sensations of group singing as well. This particular arrangement was created expressly for TTBB Barbershop ensemble, whether a chorus with soloist(s) or (potentially) a quartet plus a soloist. A brief explanatory monologue can be spoken during the introduction to set the stage for the song. This setting is moderately challenging, but once learned it allows a lot of room for expressive rubato and a couple of climactic held chords in Barbershop style. It ends introspectively and quietly.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1244630 By John van Gulik. By John van Gulik. Arranged by John van Gulik. Historic,Holiday,Patriotic. Octavo. 27 pages. John van Gulik #839583. Published by John van Gulik (A0.1244630). A moving remembrance of the young lives sacrificed in the First and Second World Wars defending our freedom. This is a setting to an original text by John van Gulik arranged for men's choir. The leaves on the ground are all broken and grayTheir color has gone taking glory awayOnset of winter will bury them allSuch is the season, the season of fall   Leaves of autumn, leaves of the fall   Millions of discarded parts of us all   Time will forget them, forget them it will   And yet they have fallen... The season of fallThe dead all all gone, we remember them stillLives given freely, buried under a hillResting in fields where the red poppies growMarkings are fading for those down belowCold sleeping life lays under the snowSlumbering gently while winter winds blowWaiting for springtime to finally comeMelting the cover, at last feel the sunVisions of future beyond paths of warHope that the world will see it no moreThe dead are not gone, just sleeping awayTo rise once again on that last dayLess now remembered except once a yearMemories are fading to soon disappearResting and waiting beneath the sodForgotten by living but still known to GodFor additional parts, accompaniment track, or other arrangements, contact me at vangulik.john@gmail.com or visit my website at https://jvgmusiconline.com.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942885 Composed by James W. Knox. Contemporary. Octavo. 21 pages. Knox Music #6383215. Published by Knox Music (A0.942885). THE PARTING BEFORE THE BATTLE was written by Thomas Moore (1779-1852) an Irish writer, poet and lyricist celebrated for his Irish Melodies. He is best remembered for the lyrics of The Minstrel Boy and The Last Rose of Summer and one of the first recognized champions of freedom in Ireland. As an impressionable young man with a quick Irish temper, the execution of a close college friend during the United Irishmen's Rebellion aroused in Moore a patriotic fervor that provided his greatest literary inspiration. Thomas Moore's best known work included a brilliant biographical masterpiece taken from the confidential memoirs of Lord Byron. His own Memoirs, Journal, and Correspondence are an invaluable social record of life in England and Ireland during the first half of the nineteenth century. James W. Knox, composer, depicts a battle of the brave Irish men and women who have courageously fought against those who seek destruction. The chorus should sing with great boldness and display a sense of honorable pride. To create a dramatic affect, James also used Erse or Gaelic with an ancient proverb, Ní neart go cur le chéile. (There is no strength without unity.) This text is used throughout the piece in addition to the poem. The proverb is set to the melody of Dies irae , which is a famous Gregorian chant dating back to the 13th century and is found as part of the Latin sequence in the Requiem. .
