Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1178814

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Suzy Lobaugh & the LABBS Music Category. 20th Century,A Cappella,Barbershop. Octavo. 6 pages. LABBS - Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers #778780. Published by LABBS - Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (A0.1178814).

This song is arranged in 4 part close harmony, tranposed for men's (or mixed) voicings, in the barbershop style (internal melody). The arrangement is based on one by Suzy Lobaugh (also available on SMP) and adapted with her kind permission, and in close collaboration with Suzy, by members of the LABBS Music Judging Category to more closely follow the original song's structure, lyric and rhythms. The sound clip is of the upper voiced version, for information.

The arrangement is suitable for most male or mixed / SATB barbershop choruses and quartets as a popular choice for audience-friendly performance repertoire. Each voicepart is within the standard barbershop ranges of most arrangements and each verse and chorus is a repeat of the same notes with no changes, aside from what is necessary to accommodate different lyric patterns. Note: if you are unfamiliar with the scoring of male barbershop music, be aware the treble clef should be sung an octave lower than written, as designated by the 8 below the clef.

This arrangement is not suitable for use in barbershop contests.

This song and arrangement would also be a great choice for other genres of male and mixed choirs and a cappella quartets or ensembles, including high school / college / secondary school choirs wanting to try the barbershop style. It is a classic song known to all generations, with a great message of support and friendship.

SKU: A0.762489

By Radiohead. By Albert Hammond, Colin Greenwood, Edward O'Brien, Jonathan Greenwood, Mike Hazlewood, Philip Selway, and Thomas Yorke. Arranged by Rowena Harper. A Cappella,Barbershop,Pop,Rock. Octavo. 12 pages. Rowena Harper #4301755. Published by Rowena Harper (A0.762489).

This male / mixed barber-pop arrangement is a fun arrangement of a rock anthem in the original key, with chords that are true to the song and a little humour injected into it (including air guitar if you wish) to lighten an otherwise fairly intense song! The well known lead line She's running out the door... descant could be sung by either the lead, tenor, a mix of both, or a soloist, sliding back into the correct part near the end, as needed (see performance notes).

Purchasing allows printing of one copy, and one copy per singer is required.
Range (Lowest-Highest): Bass D-Eb, Baritone D-C, Lead B-D, Tenor B-G - High Descant (Lead) = F-B. Baritone and Tenor are suitable for female voices.

Also available as a set of parts (four copies).

(Note: This sheet music is notated in barbershop format: Tenor (T.1) and Tenor (T.2) in treble clef , Baritone (B.1) and Bass (B.2) in bass clef. The Treble clef parts are sung an octave lower than written.)

TTBB chorus a cappella - intermediate - Digital Download

SKU: S9.Q46987

Composed by Alwin Michael Schronen. This edition: choral score. Schott Choral Music. Downloadable, Choral score. Duration 3 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q46987. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q46987).

German.

Alwin Michael Schronen again proves his great versatility as a (choral) composer with Reh-im-Park-Blues for men's choir or mixed a cappella choir. Using swing and blues elements, 'babbabbadada', 'daduahuhah' and other vocalises adding a jazz drive to the work, 'swinging shake eggs' ad libitum, and even a wine glass (or, as an alternative, a triangle), as well as stage directions like snapping the fingers, whispering, exhaling, inhaling, kissing, and 'asking for silence with the index finger', he has created an entertaining and extremely amusing choral piece. It reflects, with much wit and charm, the humorous content of Ringelnatz's poem about a little deer which eventually turns out to be a plaster figure. A piece of music that is perfect for performances at convivial gatherings and lives on many small but nice show acts.

SKU: A0.1492799

Composed by Ken Litton. Arranged by Ken Litton. Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. 14 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #1069484. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1492799).

O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Text by Charles Wesley/Music by Ken Litton (ASCAP)

TTBB mixed voices, accompanied  optional Flute/C intrument

The stanzas of the text are combined here and some of its expressions personalized in order to emphasize the confident prayer of praise. And though the music is a little more meditative than many tunes, it is still in keeping with the original expression that helped give rise to the hymn:  “Had I a thousand tongues, I would praise Him with them all!”

After the piano and flute introduction, the new tune is lightly harmonized in both stanzas, but each has it’s own unique voicing at My gracious Master and You break the power, respectively. The brief flute/C instrument solo can add a lot to the piece, but an optional cut from the end of m.41 to m.59 and on to the key change could be offered in the score. After the key change the melody returns in unison, followed by a worshipful close.
