Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1181633 Composed by Christopher Alexander. A Cappella,Contest,Festival. 28 pages. Christopher Alexander #781423. Published by Christopher Alexander (A0.1181633). Reminiscent of the treasured Robert Shaw sea chanty and glee club arrangements, this jovial work will bring joy and brotherhood to your men’s choir rehearsals and performances.  In 6/8 meter and an accessible melodic range, the work evolves into a new texture with each new stanza of the famous Ernest Lawrence Thayer poem.  There are opportunities for solos and a small ensemble for singers to be in the spotlight.  Take a swing with your men’s choir, and your audience will enjoy this work like it’s a night out at the ballpark!  This composition is the Second Prize winner (Tenor/Bass Choir) in the 2023 ACDA Composition Focus Prize.

Choral Choir,Choral,TTBB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1486888 By The Mcguire Sisters. By Calvin Carter and James Hudson. Arranged by Rod Christian. 20th Century,A Cappella,Barbershop,Blues,Jazz. 5 pages. Rodmusic Productions #1063957. Published by Rodmusic Productions (A0.1486888). GOODNIGHT SWEETHEARTA popular doo-wop classic song that was a hit during the mid-1950s. It was written by Calvin Carter and James Pookie Hudson in 1951, and was first recorded by The Spaniels in 1953. It has also been released by some artists as Goodnight, Well It's Time to Go. The best-selling version of the song was recorded by the McGuire Sisters in 1954. In this arrangement I have tried to capture the fun aspect of a male Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone and Bass combination singing a cappella in a jazz-swing style. I have utilised some nice harmonies and counter melodies that complement the work. Tempo sits nicely at crotchet = 100 but this is up to the director to choose a suitable tempo if he or she so wishes.Enjoy this popular song re-worked from way back in 1951.Rod Christian.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1035850 By Bob Dylan. By Bob Dylan. Arranged by Alexander Koller. A Cappella,Pop. Octavo. 5 pages. Alexander Koller #6905687. Published by Alexander Koller (A0.1035850). This is a four-part a cappella arrangement in the barbershop style (for male voices). The arrangement follows the Adele version more closely than the Bob Dylan version, but leaves out some of her stylizations. It should be fine for barbershop contests. There are already several barbershop arrangements of the song. My goal was to write one that is accessible for beginning barbershoppers, but still has some fun moments and a musical development that supports the story. I have tried to maintain the quiet and introspective mood of the original, while still giving you the opportunity for some musical contrasts. The back half (which you can't see in the preview) has the third verse as a lead solo and the fourth verse as a lead-tenor duet, with the other parts singing doo-doo accompaniment. The second bridge (the storms are raging) has a higher tessitura and musical intensity than the first one.The arrangement is for male voices. It should also work for a mixed quartet with a male bass. If you want to sing it with four high voices, please get in touch and I'll see if I can make it more accessible to you.If you choose to sing this arrangement, I would love to hear about your experiences at akoller@gmail.com; your feedback will make me a better arranger.

Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1315709 By Christopher Alexander. By Christopher Alexander. A Cappella,Christmas. 8 pages. Christopher Alexander #904456. Published by Christopher Alexander (A0.1315709). This deceptively simple Christmas tune is rich with its nontraditional key signature, homophonic texture, and harmonic suspensions.  It can be performed with or without piano accompaniment, making it accessible for singers to perform anywhere.  Set like a benediction, this work would be perfect as a concert closer for your entire choir department to sing together at the end of your holiday concert.  The text by John Whittier reminds us to be thankful for the Christmas season and share that same sentiment with others “all the year throughâ€.Also available in: SATB, SAB, SSAA, and Unison/Two-Part.

Choral Choir,Choral,TTBB Chorus - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406776 Composed by Bo Burnham. Arranged by Jacob Klingsten. 21st Century,A Cappella,Comedy,Contemporary,Film/TV. 11 pages. Jacob Klingsten #989524. Published by Jacob Klingsten (A0.1406776). “FaceTime with my Mom (Tonight)†by Bo Burnham is a song from the comedy special Inside. This arrangement is for TTBB a cappella groups, and sits at an easy-intermediate difficulty for high school/collegiate groups. While there isn’t a vocal percussionist part in the score, it is recommended to perform this arrangement with one. This arrangement features the main soloist, who sings quite lyrically and seriously (satirical, of course) about the relatable experience of FaceTiming with their parents. The echoes in the original recording are included in the score for the soloist to sing, if they wish. Additionally, the piece is relatively easy to learn, with a very repetative chord progression. As the arranger, I imagine the background vocalists miming the various lyrics that the soloist sings when they aren't looking, only for them to appear 'normal' when the soloist turns back. This song also works as a great low-key piece for your set if you're looking to add a subtle, satirical aspect of comedy. Additional Details: Key: Db major 11 Pages Length: 2m 20s Ranges: Solo: Bb2-Db4 Tenor 1: Bb3-Gb4 Tenor 2: Gb3-Db4 Baritone: Eb3-Bb3 Bass: Eb2-F3 If you would like the score changed to fit your ensemble's needs, the practice tracks to this piece once purchased, or if you are looking to have a new arrangement commissioned for your ensemble, please let Jacob Klingsten, the arranger, know at jacobkarranging@gmail.com. He will change the score to your needs (within reason) and provide practice tracks at no additional charge to your purchase, and he typically charges around $50 per commissioned arrangement. Jacob would love to work with you and your ensemble!Jacob Klingsten is an undergraduate student pursuing their B.A. in Music Education, and is expected to graduate in May 2025. He hopes to become a middle school and/or high school choir teacher to not only teach the choral art, but also the art of Contemporary A Cappella. He hopes you will enjoy singing his arrangements!

TTBB divisi chorus - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1351 Composed by Henrik Dahlgren. Secular. Octavo. 12 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1351. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1351). 8.27 x 11.7 inches. In 2017, I was commissioned by the Svanholm Singers to write a work for inclusion in a concert marking 70 years since the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Choosing a text was difficult. I came across upon a poem by American poet Maya Angelou, but it struck me as being too powerful and emotional for the music I was writing to carry it; everything I composed sounded banal next to Angelou's words. I soon realized that I could use silence to enhance the text, rather than heaping layers and layers of music upon it. Silence is both terrifying and serious - in a sense, it is the only adequate counterpoint to the poetry. So, I decided to build the piece on silence. Though the beginning of the piece is the opposite of silence - a scream of desperation - I followed that outburst by cutting the poem's stanzas into single words, repeated in a different order each time, almost in the manner of a mantra. Finally, they end up in the right order and suddenly the words take on their rightful meaning. I hope, in this way, the music is equally powerful as the words. Son to Mother has been well-received and has gone on to become one of the most widely performed pieces I have written. It has been performed at various festivals and in various countries, including Taiwan, France and China - where it only just made it past the government censors. Also available for mixed choir.Henrik Dahlgren is a Swedish composer, born 1991. He has been studying at the Academy Of Music in Malmo with Prof. Rolf Martinsson and the Royal College Of Music in London with Dr. Haris Kittos. Henrik started his musical career as a drummer and has ever since worked in a very wide range of different genres and styles, both as a performer and as a composer.

Michael D Stewart #6776487. Published by Michael D Stewart (A0.928200). This is an upbeat and amazing song to get your students moving. Part 2 is the melody throughout the entire piece except for the bridge section. It moves to the Part 1.It is in the original key, so if you buy the instrumental version of the song done by Ed Sheeran himself, you can actually do my arrangement with those instrumentals. Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1050201 Composed by Alan Bullard. 20th Century,Classical. Octavo. 31 pages. Colne Edition / BullardMusic #654578. Published by Colne Edition / BullardMusic (A0.1050201). These three dramatic but humorous episodes in the life of the great king, to texts by Thackeray and the composer, tell us first of all how the elderly King Canute was tiring of life as, no longer young, he even yawned while his favourite male voice choir was performing. The second movement tells of all the victories he had won - but, as the third movement tells us, there was one thing left to do - conquer the sea!  Sadly, however, the sea disobeyed his commands, and 'King Canute is dead and gone, but the legend still lives on'. The story is untrue, of course, but if it happened, though it probably didn't, it would have been in the vicinity of the Battle of Ashingdon, near to the town of South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, UK - where the songs were first performed by the South Woodham Ferrers Male Voice Choir. A specimen copy of the songs is available at www.alanbullard.co.uk Alan Bullard’s choral works are performed worldwide, and many have been recorded and broadcast. He has a growing reputation for music that choirs enjoy performing, and which speaks directly to audiences. The Colne Choral Series contains a range of Bullard’s pieces for adult and youth choirs of all types, including cantatas and choral suites as well as individual movements. Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1264702 Composed by Giuseppe Rastelli, Gorni Kramer, and Mario Panzeri. Arranged by Bacco Baccanels. 20th Century,A Cappella,Jazz. Octavo. 6 pages. Bacco Baccanels #857536. Published by Bacco Baccanels (A0.1264702). TTBB Version of the great song by Gorni Kramer. The arrangement is quite basic and is not barbershop like: there is one voice for the main melody (Tenor1) and three voices emulating the armonic infrastructure.(I made also a richer SAATTB version with additional staffs taken from a Pasquale Amico vocal arrangement).TTBB voices follow a simple arrangement: Soprano does the main melody and Tenor, Baritone and Bass do accompaniment: an easy bass line and two voices for the chords.Baritone and Bass often play upbeat in the first bars of most of the phrases (pretending to be guitars or trumpets) and turn to straight beat in the final measures.Tempo is fast, thus singing those upbeat at the right speed can be challenging: bear in mind slowing them down produces a global weakening of the entire song: I suggest Tenor2 and Baritone drink some coffee before singing...To add movement to an otherwise great and funny but simple structure, I added few bars to the original work, starting from bar 79 (F mark); here, pay attention to sing in sync, since the section is very rhythmic. Some background information about the song: written in 1939 under the fascist regime, Kramer was accused of making fun of the fascist hierarch Achille Starace, who used to walk upright in a black shirt, arousing the hilarity of the population. The song thus had to face the censorship of the regime, given that the allusion appeared quite clear. Many years after the composition, Gorni Kramer declared that the piece was inspired not by Starace but by the maestro Pippo Barzizza, with whom, in 1939, Kramer had had an argument during a performance at the Kursaal in Viareggio.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.939985 Arranged by César Zumel. Children,Christmas,Folk. Octavo. 2 pages. César Zumel #3110083. Published by César Zumel (A0.939985). 2017 Choral Contest Entry. Arrengement for SA or TB or even female / male two voices choir. Popular song from spanish folk (Burgos), for Christmas approaching the music to the joy of a young shepherd. Adding only one voice allows the second group to work together in a better way. It is easier and at the same time it is posible to add some percusion. As chorus is easy it is posible to add some gestures. It was premiered in the Christmas season 2016 and choir was happy to sing this so traditional song and arrangement. Specially reccomended for yound and old choirs.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031323 Composed by John Plant. 20th Century,Contemporary,Halloween. Octavo. 26 pages. JWP Music #3108015. Published by JWP Music (A0.1031323). This setting of Lawrence Raab's poem 'Voices Answering Back: The Vampires' was commissioned and first performed by Coastal Voices Men's Choir, under the direction of Janet Gaskin.  Approximate duration: 7 minutes.   The text is used by permission of the poet.   Coastal Voices is an unauditioned but very hard-working choir; my commission was to write a work which would be challenging, but feasible for them, and they responded splendidly to the occasion. I made MIDI soundfiles of the individual parts for the singers to rehearse with, and I would be happy to provide these to choirs who plan to perform the work. Voices Answering Back requires a skilled pianist.  You can reach me through my website at www.johnplantmusic.com.  My performing rights organization is SOCAN. Please note: 2017 Choral Contest Entry.
