Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1117341 By The Who. By Pete Townshend. Arranged by David R. Peoples. Classical,Contemporary,Pop,Rock. Octavo. 12 pages. Bluesilhouettes Music #718904. Published by Bluesilhouettes Music (A0.1117341). I’ve always been interested in Baba O’Riley; it always felt like a combination of Disney’s Electric Light Parade, minimalism, and rock. Take what you want (as to the story) behind this piece - you cannot deny that the title refers to Maher Baba and Terry O’Riley - a combination of Indian spiritualism and musical minimalism. The main melody is there. The voices bounce around with short vocalises/ostinatos to simulate a synth. The piano also becomes integral to the iconic chord progression. This version helps to use what the choir is excellent for - dynamic and textural contrasts while delivering a familiar tune. Enjoy this interactive rendition of Baba O'Riley!

LYRICS: A child is born upon this night beneath a star so bright, from heaven above to earth has come, the dark to save us from. This newborn babe of lowly birth brings light to all the earth. The God who once created all rests in a manger small. Now let us all with gladsome cheer go with the shepherds near to see the crib marked by a star with Wise Men from afar. Were earth a thousand times as far, crowned with gold and jewels rare, she yet were far too poor to be a cradle, Lord, for Thee. My heart for very joy doth leap; I cannot silence keep! With angel choirs I sing along the ancient cradle song of peace on earth, good will to men, until He comes again to fill the world with truth and light; a Child is born this night! © 2021 LAGOM MUSIC.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1220994 Composed by Adrian Gagiu. A Cappella,Christian. Octavo. 2 pages. Adrian Gagiu #817341. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1220994). A solemn and soothing a cappella piece for men's chorus, based on a traditional hymn from the Orthodox Memorial Service and composed for a friend's sudden and unexpected passing away. It utilizes subtly varied, yet restrained harmonizations and textures, and is mostly faithful to the Byzantine style, with a few discrete incursions into quartal harmony. Appropriate for the Orthodox church service and for choral groups, schools and students, too. Duration: 3 min. Performing Rights Organization: SOCAN. Text (Romanian original): Cu sfinţii odihneşte, Hristoase, sufletul adormitului robului Tău, unde nu este durere, nici întristare, nici suspin, ci viaţă fără de sfârşit. (English translation) O Christ, with the saints give rest to the soul of Thy servant, where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting..
