In odd numbers, there are more meditative pieces that closely follow the text, faithfully illustrating its keywords; instead, in even numbers, there is a more regular treatment of musical form, with bipartite or tripartite structures and thematic returns of the music, organized into livelier and more rhythmic movements. To give unity to the composition, the author adopted a series of chordal motifs that serve as leitmotifs, formed by two or three chords symbolizing some basic concepts that cyclically reappear in the various pieces (love, life, death, etc.).The ensemble comprises four parts: first tenor, second tenor, baritone, bass, which can be performed by soloists or by a choral group. In the piece Bella Cantatrice, it is possible to entrust the main melody to a tenor soloist. Although a reduction for piano is printed in the score, its purpose is only to support the voices during rehearsal. Public performance is intended for a cappella voices.

Premiered by the Empire City Men's Chorus in March 2023 in New York, released on Navona Records in December 2023, this work was recently named a finalist for the 2024 American Prize. Gramophone called it poignant and powerful and said that Weininger skilfully weaves together texts from the Tanakh, eloquently sung in Hebrew by the chorus and presented in Robert Alter’s powerful English translations by the three soloists. The cantata unfolds as a tapestry of colours and profound mourning, with occasional echoes of an ancient musical language, wherein the orchestra plays a virtuosic role.This is the choral score with parts for singers and soloists and a piano reduction for rehearsal. This arrangement is for TTBB a cappella groups, and sits at an easy-intermediate difficulty for high school/collegiate groups. While there isn’t a vocal percussionist part in the score, it is recommended to perform this arrangement with one.This arrangement features the main soloist, who sings quite lyrically and seriously (satirical, of course) about the relatable experience of FaceTiming with their parents. The echoes in the original recording are included in the score for the soloist to sing, if they wish. Additionally, the piece is relatively easy to learn, with a very repetative chord progression. As the arranger, I imagine the background vocalists miming the various lyrics that the soloist sings when they aren't looking, only for them to appear 'normal' when the soloist turns back. Delayed chordal patterns in the middle voices help to fill out the tone, allowing even smaller groups to achieve a satisfyingly full sound. There is space left for for the rap section if desired, otherwise the piece is written in a way that allows for it to be cut out. This is a solid piece for any male acapella group. It can be learned quickly- and with a relatively simple alternating melody line, allowing for two soloists, it serves as a solid opener and/or a chance to showcase a couple singers who maybe aren't as strong of soloists within the group. Either way, its a fun song!

A brief explanatory monologue can be spoken during the introduction to set the stage for the song. This setting is moderately challenging, but once learned it allows a lot of room for expressive rubato and a couple of climactic held chords in Barbershop style. It ends introspectively and quietly.
