Choral Choir (TTBB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.943042 By Elvis Presley. By George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore. Arranged by Jonathan Kilhams. Rock. Octavo. 9 pages. Jonathan Kilhams #4798035. Published by Jonathan Kilhams (A0.943042). About the piece Can't Help Falling in Love is a 1961 song recorded by American singer Elvis Presley for the album Blue Hawaii (1961). It was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss and published by Gladys Music, Inc. (The melody is based on Plaisir d'amour, a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini). The song was initially written for a woman as Can't Help Falling in Love with Him, which explains the first and third line ending on in and sin rather than words rhyming with you. Can't Help Falling in Love was featured in Presley's 1961 film Blue Hawaii. During the following four decades, it has been recorded by numerous other artists, including Bob Dylan on his 1973 album Dylan, Tom Smothers, Swedish pop group A-Teens, and the British reggae group UB40, whose 1993 version topped the U.S. and UK charts. Elvis Presley's version of the song topped the British charts in 1962, spending four weeks at no. 1. The single is certified Platinum by the RIAA, for US sales in excess of one million copies. In the United States, the song peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 behind Joey Dee and the Starliters' Peppermint Twist and went to No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart for six weeks.About the arrangement This arrangement was inspired by the Elvis Presley version in 1962 and also the Pentatonix version recorded in 2017. It has been arranged for choirs that like to perform off by heart as the verse and chorus harmony are the same with very slight additions. The arrangement is for TTBB and piano and my thanks must go to Gareth Giles (pianist, organist, composer and arranger) who helped create the piano part for this arrangement. Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1292944 By Jimmy Perry. By Jimmy Perry. Arranged by Liz Garnett. Barbershop,Film/TV. 6 pages. Liz Garnett #883547. Published by Liz Garnett (A0.1292944). This song was the theme tune for a classic 1970s sitcom, and is begging to be arranged in the barbershop style. This arrangement was written for a particular performance occasion, and thus builds the original song out into a somewhat longer form (and with a few quirks of lyric underlap related to that occasion), so if you wanted to sing only the length as it appeared on TV, you can cut from bar 40 straight to bar 91.Vocal ranges:Tenor: B4 - B5Lead: D3 - G4Bari: D3 - F4Bass: G2 - B flat 3www.HelpingYouHarmonise.com.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1035850 By Bob Dylan. By Bob Dylan. Arranged by Alexander Koller. A Cappella,Pop. Octavo. 5 pages. Alexander Koller #6905687. Published by Alexander Koller (A0.1035850). This is a four-part a cappella arrangement in the barbershop style (for male voices). The arrangement follows the Adele version more closely than the Bob Dylan version, but leaves out some of her stylizations. It should be fine for barbershop contests. There are already several barbershop arrangements of the song. My goal was to write one that is accessible for beginning barbershoppers, but still has some fun moments and a musical development that supports the story. I have tried to maintain the quiet and introspective mood of the original, while still giving you the opportunity for some musical contrasts. The back half (which you can't see in the preview) has the third verse as a lead solo and the fourth verse as a lead-tenor duet, with the other parts singing doo-doo accompaniment. The second bridge (the storms are raging) has a higher tessitura and musical intensity than the first one.The arrangement is for male voices. It should also work for a mixed quartet with a male bass. If you want to sing it with four high voices, please get in touch and I'll see if I can make it more accessible to you.If you choose to sing this arrangement, I would love to hear about your experiences at akoller@gmail.com; your feedback will make me a better arranger.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1050201 Composed by Alan Bullard. 20th Century,Classical. Octavo. 31 pages. Colne Edition / BullardMusic #654578. Published by Colne Edition / BullardMusic (A0.1050201). These three dramatic but humorous episodes in the life of the great king, to texts by Thackeray and the composer, tell us first of all how the elderly King Canute was tiring of life as, no longer young, he even yawned while his favourite male voice choir was performing. The second movement tells of all the victories he had won - but, as the third movement tells us, there was one thing left to do - conquer the sea!  Sadly, however, the sea disobeyed his commands, and 'King Canute is dead and gone, but the legend still lives on'. The story is untrue, of course, but if it happened, though it probably didn't, it would have been in the vicinity of the Battle of Ashingdon, near to the town of South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, UK - where the songs were first performed by the South Woodham Ferrers Male Voice Choir. A specimen copy of the songs is available at www.alanbullard.co.uk Alan Bullard’s choral works are performed worldwide, and many have been recorded and broadcast. He has a growing reputation for music that choirs enjoy performing, and which speaks directly to audiences. The Colne Choral Series contains a range of Bullard’s pieces for adult and youth choirs of all types, including cantatas and choral suites as well as individual movements.
