TTBB choir and piano - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.1.3487-E Composed by James Granville Eakin. Advanced/Collegiate. Secular, 21st Century, Creation/Nature, Evening. Octavo. 14 pages. Duration 2 minutes, 55 seconds. Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital #1.3487-E. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation - Digital (MQ.1.3487-E). UPC: 600313134876. English. In 2002, I was commissioned by the Turtle Creek Chorale to compose a three-movement star-themed piece for their upcoming 'celestial' concert. I immediately knew that I wanted strings and celeste to serve as my 'heavenly' accompaniment; but what text should I choose? After immersing myself in poetry, I whittled it down to three that sang to me: Creator of the Universe, a Plato translation; We Are the Stars, an Algonquin Native-American poem; and (I couldn’t resist) Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.

Choral Choir,Choral (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1321592 Composed by Rod Cunningham. Arranged by Rod Cunningham. Barbershop,Christian. 8 pages. Rod Cunningham #910066. Published by Rod Cunningham (A0.1321592). The initial idea for this song came from a point in a sermon (in June of 2020) by a pastor at my church (who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty 😊).  The point was that we can’t get to heaven by following the Law.  Only the Gospel can do that.  Therefore, the song is a Gospel song, even though the word “gospel†never appears in it.The song opens with the statement that the Law can’t “save your soulâ€.  It also points out that the Law can’t do miracles (like physically healing the body).  The song also addresses what the Law CAN do.  The song also alludes to a game (croquet) and a food (cinnamon toast) to demonstrate that neither a “Rule book†nor a “Recipe Book†can get us to heaven.  These allusions are a bit humorous and unexpected and therefore fit well in the genre of the Barbershop Quartet style.).

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171795 By Peter Gabriel And Kate Bush. By Peter Gabriel. Arranged by Charles Beale. Pop. Octavo. 18 pages. Charliebmusic #772070. Published by charliebmusic (A0.1171795). From Peter Gabriel's 1987 album 'So', 'Don't Give up' is a song about struggle. Originally written around what Gabriel saw as the 1980s struggle against UK Thatcherism, the song works well in the context of all kinds of oppression. The arrangement features three soloists, all perhaps facing different kinds of struggle or mental health issue. In each case, the choir responds with kindness: Don't GIve Up, 'cause you've got friends, and 'cause somewhere there's a place where we belong.

Choral Choir (TTBB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.500725 By Hudson Taylor. By Alfred Hudson Taylor, Harry Hudson Taylor, and Michael Aaron Einziger. Arranged by G. M. Morley. A Cappella,Contemporary. Octavo. 9 pages. G. M. Morley #6450807. Published by G. M. Morley (A0.500725). Taken from the 2015 album Singing for Strangers, Don't Tell Me has potential to be a loud and raucous anthem of defiance for any performance. While my arrangement was originally intended to be performed at a Pride event, due to restrictions across the UK regarding choral groups we were unable to perform it.Although not officially part of the LGBTQ community, interviews indicate that Hudson Taylor are LGBTQ Allies. This song can be performed as a rallying cry for any march or protest for equality.
