Solo Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.954945 Composed by Jim Bosse. Concert,Contemporary,World. Individual part. 8 pages. Jim Bosse #4574665. Published by Jim Bosse (A0.954945). This is the second movement from Suite Grandkids which contains six pieces originally scored for classical guitar trio, one for each of the grankids that I had at that time (2005). This version is for classical guitar solo. The picture of my grandkids looks like a poster for cultural diversity. Their varied genetic backgrounds presented an opportunity to compose an eclectic suite with each piece presenting a style representative of their unique genetic heritage. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. Analysia's Margarita was inspired by a street merchant melody that I heard in the Andes. I used this melody to give this  piece a Peruvean flavor. Performance time is 3 minutes and 34 seconds with a demand level of mostly intermediate with a few advanced sections. Jim's web site is www.facebook.com/jimbosseguitar .

Solo Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1392100 Composed by Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829). Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical. Individual part. 19 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #975591. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1392100). PREFACE AND BRIEF ANALYTICAL NOTESThe three sonatinas op.71 by Mauro Giuliani in C, G, and D were first published in 1816 in Vienna and were intended as student pieces of progressive difficulty. In parallel with this intention they are also fully developed three-movement works which reveal Giulianiâ??s technique as a composer with harmony, counterpoint, and structure. They certainly have the time length and the variety of full scale sonatas, but here Giuliani has chosen to use the supporting structures of sonatas met in movements other than the first, such as Menuetto and Trio, Rondo, Marcia and Trio, Scherzo and Trio, etc,  rather than sonata form itself. As it stands, this first sonatina in C has the following three movements:1 Maestoso (Moderato) which is a set of a theme and three variations, or better termed as a set of mathematical divisions reminiscent of an earlier era, as the accompaniment of the theme is given in crotchets, quavers, quaver triplets, and semi-quavers.2 Menuetto-Trio-Menuetto da capo written typically in the subdominant key of F and fully developed as per classical 19th century usage.3 Rondo. This movement is also written in a classical rondo style and form as an A-B-A-C-B-A-codetta  structure, with a typical tonal scheme of A in the tonic Key (C), B in the dominant key (G), and C in the relative minor key (Am).Therefore in this work we do not meet with structural innovations of any kind, but with strong affirmation of already existing and well established early 19th century structural norms, but the beautiful personal melodic and harmonic style of Giuliani and even his routine guitaristic nuances and formulas are present in all three movements and can be enjoyed as always.TECHNICALThis publication keeps each separate movement within the limit of two pages, thus avoiding page turns. It is published with two versions of the same pieces given in undecorated and decorated pages for the user to select which version he prefers to print out. Blank pages have been provided for insertion/deletion for the correct placement of left-right hand pages.Metronome marks are only editorial suggestions that need not be taken too literally.Sibelius Mp3 archive has been extracted for this publication using Note Performer playback engine.Socrates ArvanitakisLondon 2024.

Solo Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1468989 Composed by Mauro Giuliani. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Historic,Instructional. Individual part. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #1047058. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1468989). This is more utilitarian than a creative arrangement, and by that I mean that this is designed to save you time fingering and analyzing, which is often the tedious stuff that hardly anyone would enjoy over actually playing the piece. The fingering numbers are truly fingering numbers so don't let the numbers confuse you on what pitch it is. These numbers are more difficult to understand than just fret numbers, but they are more professional. I have glissando markings, but they are to show pivot fingers and parallelisms rather than glissandos. Having chord names for classical music is unconventional, but that is part of what gives this arrangement its uniqueness. I'm not sure why classical sheet music doesn't; the chord names are extremely beneficial, and they technically stem from figured bass that composers like Bach would use. Sometimes it is tricky to give a measure a chord name though, since sometimes it is more of an implied harmony, or it's too vague, or it's too melodic. Features1. Fingerings added 2. Position markers added3. Chord names added4. Engraved for obvious phrases5. Composer indications added.

Solo Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1458184 Composed by Sylvius Leopold Weiss. Arranged by Maël Fauvy. Baroque. Individual part. 20 pages. Mfp Éditions #1037159. Published by Mfp Éditions (A0.1458184). Composer : Sylvius Leopold WeissArrangement & fingerings : Maël FauvyLevel : Medium – Grade II20 pieces for guitare : Suite in D minor — 20 pagesIn 1941, this manuscript was transferred from the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music to the Music Library of the Glinka State Central Museum of Musical Culture in Moscow.Revealed to the Western world only in 1963, we now know, thanks to his analysis, that it was neither written by Weiss nor written in Dresden, but in Russia approximately ten years after his death.A number of pieces are of doubtful origin and are still the subject of open debate. In his work “The Moscow “Weiss” Manuscript” (Orphée 494-02144, 1995) Tim Crawford sheds interesting light on the subject. The Moscow Manuscript can be ranked third in importance after those of London and Dresden. Especially since it contains many high quality pieces and some truly unique. This arrangement presents the first suite in D minor from the manuscript, arranged for solo guitar.
