My thought was that there was surely a piano in these lodges and Scott Joplin pieces were likely among the repertoire of the pianists of that era. Performance time for the entire suite is 23 minutes but each piece could stand alone on a concert program. Lullaby for Mirabai  was written in a Scottish style, highlighting her genetic heritage.
