The title Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach (German: NotenbÃ¼chlein fÃ¼r Anna Magdalena Bach) refers to either of two manuscript notebooks that the German Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bachpresented to his second wife, Anna Magdalena. Keyboard music (minuets, rondeaux, polonaises, chorales, sonatas, preludes, musettes, marches, gavottes) makes up most of both notebooks, and a few pieces forvoice (songs, and arias) are included.

This is a guitar arrangement of the first minuet (BWV Anh. 114) from a suite for harpsichord by Christian Petzold (1677 - 1733), which was included in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach and previously attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750). The arrangement was meticulously transcribed for the guitar by Pedro Abreu in 2013, and features the same ornaments as the ones included in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach.
