Brass Ensemble Horn - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844493 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 6 pages. Phil Beaman #3450337. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844493). In 1849 Robert Schumann completed a set of Romantic character pieces for piano which he named Forest Scenes. One of that set was called Roadside Inn, which I have arranged for Instrumental Trio. In keeping with the characteristics of the Romantic period my arrangement is full of contrasts and constant shifts between dynamics, articulations, and themes. There are interpretive marks in every measure as each part independently adds to the stunning polyphonic weaving. Not too difficult to play but sounds quite advanced when all details are observed. A great piece to show your musicianship as a group. To be played warmly and with passion to welcome people to your Roadside Inn.  3 minutes, 3 page score, 1 page @ partTemporary MIDI recording; a live performance will be much more expressive and free

Horn - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1180709 Composed by John Newton and William Walker. Arranged by John McAllister. Chamber,Christian,Folk,Religious,Traditional. 5 pages. John McAllister #780592. Published by John McAllister (A0.1180709). This is a simple and straight-forward arrangement of Amazing Grace for three french horns. The arrangement has an intro, plays through the melody twice, each with a bit of varying accompaniment, then concludes softly at the end. This arrangement is a great foray into chamber music for younger players. It also works alongside the same arrangement for other instruments (i.e. flute, clarinet, etc). The music would be great for developing chamber music with younger players (though it is also a great set piece for older players as well...especially at a gig where a bunch of music is needed), possibly within a band program or a flute or oboe studio. In addition to learning to play in a small group with no conductor, there is ample opportunity for phrasing and extra musical development.

Horn - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1265520 Composed by Luigi Boccherini. Arranged by Ander. 19th Century,Classical,March,Opera,Romantic Period. 9 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #858321. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1265520). This Horn in F Trio arrangement was created to preserve the characteristics of the original work, inspiring and significant to Beethoven’s well-known choral symphony. It is suitable for young music students and professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations, and didactic material. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one key change, maintaining the essence of the striking melody. Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony Op. 125 incorporates part of the poem An die Freude (“To Joyâ€), a hymn written by Friedrich Schiller, with the text sung by soloists and a choir in its last movement. It was the first example of a major composer using the human voice as prominently as instruments in a symphony, creating a far-reaching work that set the tone for the symphonic form adopted by Romantic composers. This is Ludwig van Beethoven’s last complete symphony. The choral symphony, better known as the Ninth Symphony or The Ninth, is one of the best-known works in the Western repertoire, considered an icon and predecessor of Romantic music and one of Beethoven’s great masterpieces. It was first performed on May 7, 1824 at the Kärntnertortheater in Vienna, Austria.
