Snowfall On Fields is a gentle piece, written to elicit the imagery of a beautiful, soft winter snow falling all around you as you walk through the countryside. The piece starts out with a light cascading motif that continues to gain strength as the snow builds from a flurry, to a steady snowfall, and then tapers off again and is gone. Care should be taken to approach the piece with attention to phrasing and stagger breathing where noted to allow for a constant, uninterrupeted sound. The dynamics build as the intensity of the snow does, and then fades away.
