Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1350276 By Yvonne Elliman. By Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Robin Gibb. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Broadway,Disco,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Rock. 54 pages. John Ivor Holland #935065. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1350276). If I Can't Have You is a classic disco song written by the Bee Gees in 1977; it initially appeared on the multi-platinum 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack in a version by Yvonne Elliman, released in November that year. The Bee Gees' own version appeared a month later as the B-side of Stayin' Alive. Elliman was originally going to perform How Deep Is Your Love, as she was known as a ballad singer, but the Bee Gees' manager, Robin Stigwood, decided to swap things around. Stigwood's decision proved a success as the soundtrack's first single, the Bee Gees' version of How Deep Is Your Love, shot to number one, followed to the top spot by the soundtrack's second and third singles, also by the Gibb brothers, Stayin' Alive and Night Fever. Elliman's If I Can't Have You, produced by disco pioneer Freddie Perren, was released as the fourth single off the 'Saturday Night Fever' album in February 1978. The song was covered by 80's star Kim Wilde in 1993 and charted well in several countries, along with a later version by Jess Glynne in 2016.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1326414 By Bee Gees. By Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Robin Gibb. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 20th Century,Disco,Film/TV,Pop. 58 pages. John Ivor Holland #914580. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1326414). Jive Talkin' is a song by the Bee Gees, released as the lead single from their 1975 album 'Main Course' (as well as appearing on the 1977 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack) and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100; it also reached the top five on the UK Singles Chart. Upon its release to radio stations, the single was delivered in a plain white cover, with no immediate indication of what the song's name was or who sang it. The DJs would only find out what the song was and who played it when it was placed on the turntable. The song was used in a scene in 'Saturday Night Fever' that was ultimately cut from the final version of the film, but this funky hit is too good to ignore - grab your dancing shoes and head to the floor!
