More specifically, to scenes from the movie Dirty Dancing, starring Jennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze, in 1987. The song was used as the theme of the movie, and has won a number of awards, including the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
