Carl Maria Von Weber wrote his Clarinet Concerto No.1 in 1811.The first movement was very innovative for its time, with some stylistic aspects characteristic of later composers like Felix Mendelssohn. He also wrote his Concertino for Clarinet and his Clarinet Concerto No.2 in the same year. This arrangement makes it available for soloist and concert band. Hunter’s Chorus was composed by German composer Carl Maria von Weber. Appearing in the opera Der Freischütz, the tune shares similarities with German folk music and march.

The flexible instrumentation arrangement enables a mixture of instruments, from small ensemble to full orchestra. This arrangement is suitable for junior players who have played the instrument for 1 year or above. For instruments of Part 2, 3 and 4, the range is within one octave. Essential fingerings and bowings are provided in the string parts.

Romance by Carl Maria von Weber is one of the most popular solos in the Trombone repertoire and may have been originally composed for the Bassoon. This work of about 7-9 minutes in length from the Romantic period is lyrically very expressive, featuring large dynamic contrasts and extended range.

Benjamin Coy’s fine arrangement for solo Trombone and Concert Band or Wind ensemble is appropriate for moderately advanced performers.

Minka, Minka had derived from the Ukrainian folk tune Ikhav Kozak za Dunaj and was written by Semen Klimovski.  Many composers had adapted this tune for their works, notably Ludwig van Beethoven and Carl Maria von Weber.  This arrangement tries to capture the Eastern European feel that one may characterize (or caricaturize).      

This arrangement started off as an assignment while taking Composing and Arranging for School Bands with Dr. Scott Watson (Alfred, Hal Leonard, Wingert-Jones) at Central Connecticut State University in the summer of 2014.    

Minka, Minka is arranged in band-friendly C-harmonic minor.  A few items to remember:    
- Upper winds have a minor second trill on concert Ab to A?  
- The section starting at 53 should be played as delicate as one would allow.  
- The section starting at 69 should appear to gain momentum.  
- The section starting at 88 should be equal or stronger than it has first appeared.

Der Freischütz is a German opera with spoken dialogue. It premiered on 18 June 1821 at the Schauspielhaus Berlin and is considered to be the first German  Romantic opera. The overture is in sonata form and may be regarded as a compressed tone poem about the Freischütz story. The arrangement is kept in the  original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed (without Euphonium and Tuba) by Mozarteum Wind  Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their New Year's Concert on 6 January 2008 at the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation in  Salzburg, then again at their Three Kings' Concert on 6 January 2018 at the Grosses Festspielhaus (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria and  broadcasted live by Austrian television. A further repetition at the same event on 6 January 2024 again with live TV, now under the new name Salzburg Wind  Philharmonic underlines the great appreciation for this arrangement shown by the orchestra and conductor.
