I Say a Little Prayer is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick, originally peaking at number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in December 1967. The song also returned to the Pop & R&B Top Ten in the fall of 1968 via a recording by Aretha Franklin taken from her 1968 album 'Aretha Now'. This wonderful song is featured in the films 'My Best Friend's Wedding' and Date Movie' (among others) and should be a great hit with your audience!

Burt Bacharach composed the hit song “What the World Needs Now is Love†in 1965 with lyricist Hal David. The song was first made popular by vocalist Jackie DeShannon, later performed by Dionne Warwick in 1966, and covered by numerous artists in the decades that followed. The song has been beautifully arranged for concert band by L. C. Harnsberger with inspiration from the original Bacharach orchestration. This arrangement is a perfect addition to any pops concert, and works especially well as a closer or encore.

Christmas Day is a song from the Broadway musical 'Promises, Promises', with music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by long-time collaborator Hal David; it is heard in Act Two at a rather tense moment, mostly sung by an off-stage choir, but the lyrics are typical candy-cane sweetness to contrast with the dramatic stage action. Commercial recordings of the song have been released by Jack Jones and Robert Goulet, but this arrangement recreates the feel of the original Broadway setting.

Promises, Promises is a musical with music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and a book by Neil Simon, based on the 1960 film 'The Apartment' written by Billy Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond. The story concerns a junior executive at an insurance company who seeks to climb the corporate ladder by allowing his apartment to be used by his married superiors for trysts. The song 'Promises, Promises' happens right towards the end of the musical where things pretty much have fallen apart, made perfectly clear in the music by very agitated meter changes and angular harmonies. Released in 1968, the song was featured on an album by Dionne Warwick shortly before the musical debuted on Broadway and has since been covered by other artists, including Sean Hayes as part of the 2010 revival production.
