In an interview with Smash Hits that year, Hewson said that the song took place in the future where there was a 100-year long war on Mars; lead vocals were originally performed by his wife, Liz. There have been various remixes and cover versions of the song, but none more successful than the original. Abraham Lincoln Funeral March for Concert BandBy John Gross Barnard Orchestrated by Jari Villanueva This funeral march written by John Gross Barnard was performed by the United States Marine Band during the funeral procession from the Executive Mansion to the Capitol for Abraham Lincoln on April 19, 1865. The march is titled: Funeral March in Memory of the Abraham Lincoln: Played at the Obsequies of the President of the United States by the US Marine Band. The funeral march follows the standard format of dirges of the time (most notable are Webster’s Funeral March, Chopin’s Funeral March and March in Saul by Handel) written in minor keys (considered somber) and divided into eight measure phrases which makes it easy for the funeral cadence to be played underneath. This funeral march, like most written during this time, has a transition to a major key (happier sounding). This march goes to the relative major (D minor to D major) key. Since no parts are extant from the US Band, I was asked to score the march for a modern symphonic band. It is a very musical work that has stood the test of time because of how the reverent tone of the song is conveyed in the text, harmony, and melody. In this arrangement, a peaceful 5th is expanded into a majestic series of descending chords until there's a pause before the song begins with quite woodwinds. The song grows and grows changing, folding, and contorting until the whole band sweeps into the final verse, where the song quiets down and ends with a soft minor plagal cadence. This requires both musicianship and skill to master. The band must play as an ensemble and make music, not just play music.Happy Playing!

The song was Ellis-Bextor's third top 10 hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart. Get Over You reached the top 10 in Denmark, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. In the latter two countries, the song was certified platinum and gold, respectively, also doing well across Europe in Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland. The accompanying music video for Get Over You is set in a shopping mall, after hours, on a rainy night, where slowly all the manequins begin to come to life, led by Ellis-Bextor in a wedding dress, eventually eventually causing havoc and smashing glass, even the camera, at the end. Also, if Trumpet 1 misses the high E and hits C or G instead, any of those notes fit the Chord. A win- win for the trumpets.
