He was one of those responsible for the first significant body of concert music by composers from the United States. It has been successfully transcribed for concert band by Michael L. Published by WLM - Music (A0.1019629). Léo Delibes was a French composer, best known for his ballets and operas. His works include the ballets Coppélia  , Sylvia (1876) and the opera Lakmé . His later ballets Coppélia and Sylvia were key works in the development of modern ballet. In the opinion of several critics, the score of Sylvia surpasses that of most others of his works. Tchaikovsky was greatly impressed by Sylvia. This arrangement is of the fanfare, Les chasseresses from Act 1 of Sylvia. This is a Grade 4 piece.
