Tears Dry on Their Own is a song by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse (1983-2011) from her second and final studio album, 'Back to Black' (2006). It was released on 13 August 2007 as the album's fourth single. While the melody and lyrics are composed by Winehouse, the music behind her voice is an interpolation of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1967 song Ain't No Mountain High Enough, penned by husband-and-wife song-writing team Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson. With a soul-Motown feel, this song became one of Winehouse's most popular and distinctive tracks and is featured in the documentary about her life 'Back to Black' and also in the 2024 motion picture, which shares the same title, starring Marisa Abela as Amy. Opening with a majestic flourish, this arrangement soon settles into the familiar sound of the recording, with added alto saxophone solo section at the end and a reflective close, featuring horn duet. I'm Every Woman is a song by American singer Chaka Khan, released as her debut solo single from her first album, Chaka (1978), written by the successful songwriting team Valerie Simpson and Nickolas Ashford - it reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 11 in the UK. Whitney Houston covered the song in 1992 (recorded for 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack); it was a major hit, peaking at number 4 in the US and UK. A music video was produced for Khan's version of I'm Every Woman at a time when the value of promotional films was increasing; the video, which features five dancing Chakas dressed in various outfits to represent every woman, was made a few years before the onset of mainstream coverage of music promos through such outlets as MTV, VH1, and BET. Rolling Stone magazine ranked I’m Every Woman number 27 in their list of 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time in 2022, so it's about time to get your concert pumping with this fabulous disco anthem and welcome your audience to their feet along the way!

Diana Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer and actress. She was the lead singer of the vocal group The Supremes, who became Motown's most successful act during the 1960s and one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. They remain the best-charting female group in history.  Following her departure from the Supremes in 1970, Ross embarked on a successful solo music career.

The Boss is a 1979 song written and produced by Ashford & Simpson and recorded by American singer Diana Ross, who released it as a single on the Motown label. It was the first release from the album of the same title.
