Magnum, P.I. is an American crime drama television series starring Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator (P.I.) living on Oahu, Hawaii. The series ran from December 11, 1980, to May 1, 1988. The original theme music for the opening credits of the pilot episode was a mid-tempo jazzy piece by Ian Freebairn-Smith. This music was also used for the next nine regular episodes. Beginning in Episode 12, it was replaced by a more up tempo theme typical of 1980s action series by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter with guitar by Larry Carlton. This theme had been used during the show and over the closing credits from Episode 8.

Composed by Johann Strauss Jr. Arranged by Albert Schwarzmann. 19th Century,Opera,Romantic Period. 135 pages. Edition Schwalbe #1066541. Published by Edition Schwalbe (A0.1489669).

The Csárdás is a typical Hungarian dance basing on folk music. But also art music has some famous examples, one of them is this csárdás from the comic  opera Ritter Pásmán (Knight Pásmán) by Johann Strauss jr. Its premiere was on 1 January 1892 at the Vienna Court opera. The arrangement is one half  tone lower than the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Wind Philharmonic  Mozarteum Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their Three Kings' Concert on 6 January 2019 and broadcasted live by Austrian  television. A live recording of this concert is available at  https://www.salzburg-windphilharmonic.at/de/klang-der-donaumonarchie/ or https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/art/klang-der-donaumonarchie/hnum/10428726?iampartner=303&subid=umr19&ref=partner.jpc.de .
