Written all the way back in 1887, I can still hear the choir and congregation belting out this wonderful hymn, while the piano and organ accompany them at full force. This arrangement for elementary band begins with the verse in a very laid-back, cantabile style. The chorus then joins in, led by snare drums in a stirring march style. Great moving lower brass lead all to a big broad ending.
