Hungarian born Franz Liszt (1811-1886) composed 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies for solo piano. The most famous Hungarian Rhapsody is the second, in the traditional Gypsy styles of the lassan (slow) and the friska (fast). This transcription for concert band is based on the score orchestrated by Karl Müller-Berghaus (1829-1907). The original piano work is in C# minor, and the Müller-Berghaus version is in C minor.
This transcription is for concert band with full score (pp. 1–46), piccolo–harp (pp. 47–213), and transposed parts (pp. 214–275).
A printed score and the parts on CD-ROM are available for purchase at www.kasamamusic.com.
