The arrangements of the demo version resembled a gospel ballad with an emphasis on the piano sound, such as the song Bridge over Troubled Water . Steinberg told Songfacts that Cyndi completely took the traditional arrangement apart and came up with something that was breathtaking.

These three pieces (The Procession, Waltzing in the Rain and Tim's Dance) are presented here as a suite, but may of course be used individually. The instrumentation is flexible, allowing for various combinations of instruments, including Clarinet Quartet/Quintet/Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet/Quintet/Ensemble and Brass Quartet/Quintet/Ensemble. All Clarinet and Bass Clarinet parts are below the break and all notes for all parts are kept within a comfortable range for Elementary Level performers.
