A este estilo, calificado por algunos como “música de ascensor”, por supuesto que de manera despectiva y, desde mi punto de vista, injusta en la mayoría de las ocasiones, pertenecen artistas como Al Jarreau, Lee Ritenour, Kenny G, David Sanbourn, The Rippingtons, Yellowjackets, Spyro Gyra, Larry Carlton, etc. El saxo es uno de los instrumentos solistas habituales, aunque el que protagoniza nuestra entrada de hoy es el fliscorno, en concreto el de Chuck Mangione, otro de los autores de referencia en el ámbito del smooth jazz.
