Composed by Henry Mancini. Arranged by Robert C. Olivia. Film/TV,Jazz,Pop. Score and parts. 81 pages. Robert C. Olivia #526643. Published by Robert C. Olivia (A0.920763).

This arrangement was made at the request of Marvin Hamlisch. The Seattle Times Reviewer Tom Keogh wrote about this arrangement, “A highlight is certainly the silky grandeur of Henry Mancini’s theme for Blake Edwards’ TV series “Mr. Luckyâ€â€¦â€ This arrangement draws inspiration from the record version with an insert Mancini wrote later. The Hammond B3 organ solo as played by the great Hollywood session musician Buddy Cole is transcribed note for note in this arrangement. This part can be alternately played by Rhodes or other keyboard. The written out solo is a suggestion and may be improvised by keyboard player. Throughout this arrangement Mancini’s voicings and orchestrational content have been preserved. Options It is possible to perform this without Hammond B3 or like keyboard solo. In one version in Mancini’s hand writing he called for a Flugal Horn solo. This could be used to replace the keyboard solo. However, a cut can also be made in lieu of solos from B to Bar 50 or D. Instrumentation 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 1 opt Bass Clarinet, 2 Bassoons, 4 Horns, 3 Trumpets (includes optional Lead Trumpet solo) 3 Trombones, 1 Tuba, 1 Percussion: Tambourine ad-lib, 1 Drum Set (optional solo), 1 Fender Bass, 1 Keyboard (preferably Hammond B3 with Leslie or Synth or Rhodes) (solo is optional), Strings.

Composed by Stephen Lines. Contemporary. Score and parts. 99 pages. Stephen Lines #26285. Published by Stephen Lines (A0.957733).

Bramshill was written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the police staff college and was premiered by the British Police Symphony Orchestra in 2008. In 2011 it undertook some quite serious revision. Bramshill House was until recently the home of the Police Staff College. In 1953 the Home Office purchased Bramshill from Lord Brocket. There is evidence that the site has been inhabited since the time of Domesday and the Norman Conquest. The present building was constructed principally by Edward Zouche, 11th Baron Zouche of Harringworth, between c. 1605-1625. The music is written in large ternary form as a concert rondo. There are features within which depict and draw together various facets of the early history of Bramshill House as a Jacobean structure with that of its current role as the police staff college. After a declamatory eighteen bar opening in the key of C minor the piece leads towards the principal theme - it is introduced by the horn, quietly accompanied by chords from the clarinets dipping in and out of the chalumeau register - a haunting, ethereal theme that depicts the mystery of the ancient building and its numerous reported wraiths. The theme develops and is pronounced giacoso in the strings with light accompaniment in the higher woodwinds. A restatement of the main theme is followed by a section, fugato; this depicts a police officer on the beat in the early hours of a cold, wet, winter’s night. This theme transmutes into a quasi-stately dance such as may have been performed in Bramshill’s great withdrawing room or the long gallery in the 1600’s. A series of 6/3 chords then develop into what sounds akin to a police siren; the section culminates in a wash of sound with police theme, stately dance and siren sounding simultaneously. In the final section, the principal theme is reiterated in various guises and sub-themes are further explored.

Composed by Edward Miller, Isaac Watts, William Penfro Rowlands and Charles Wesley. Arranged by Michael Thomas Andrews. Christian,Classical,Easter,Religious,Sacred. Score and Parts. 112 pages. Michael Thomas Andrews #863342. Published by Michael Thomas Andrews (A0.1270957).

This new work was premiered at the Royal Albert Hall at The Coronation Prom on the date of His Majesty The King's Coronation by soprano Joanne Lunn and the All Souls Orchestra.  This imaginative arrangement of 'When I Survey the Wondrous Cross' with the final verse of 'Love Divine, All Loves Excelling' for soprano solo and orchestra begins with a pianissimo muted string texture as we fix our eyes upon the cross of Christ before crescendoing to a glorious finale in which we lay our crowns before the King of all Creation.  This would be a perfect addition to a concert with full symphony orchestra and a soprano soloist with an extensive vocal range.  If desired, the top vocal C in the final verse in bar 123 may be replaced by holding the top A across the full beat.

Composed by Edward Elgar. Arranged by Marcus Martin. 20th Century,March,Patriotic,Praise and Worship. 99 pages. Cornelius Edition (uk) #961638. Published by Cornelius Edition (uk) (A0.1377034).

This famous march, regularly performed at u.k. 'The Last Night of the Proms' was composed in 1901. The words 'Land of Hope and Glory' were added to the trio section in 1902 by A C Benson. This section is traditionally associated with USA high school and college graduation ceremonies.
This version is for full symphony orchestra.  2 Piccolos, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons,  4 horns, 2 Trumpets (or Cornets) 3 Trombones, Tuba, Organ, Harp, Percussion and Strings.  However 2nd Piccolo, 3rd and 4th Horns, Harp and Organ are all 'ad lib' and in general the arrangement is effective with the omission of some of the other wind and brass at the conductor's discretion.
A full score and all parts are included with alternative Bb parts for Clarinet and Trumpet.
