Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1307415 By Keith Terrett. By Ali Ismael, 1965. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 20th Century,Multicultural,Patriotic,Traditional,World. 27 pages. Keith Terrett #896698. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1307415). Arranged for full Symphony Orchestra Fida'ī (Arabic: فدائي, romanized: Fida'i, lit. 'Fedayeen warrior') is the national anthem of Palestine.History:The anthem was adopted by the Palestinian Liberation Organization in 1996, in accordance with Article 31 of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence from 1988. It replaced Mawtini. It was written by Said Al Muzayin (a.k.a. Fata Al Thawra, boy of the revolution), while its music was composed by Egyptian maestro Ali Ismael. It was known as the anthem of the Palestinian redemption.Lyrics:The word fidāʾīyīn is the Arabic plural of fidāʾī, which means sacrifice / one who sacrifices himself (a literal translation of fidāʾīyīn might be martyrs), and it originally comes from Persia, where the first band of fedayeen (also famous as Hashshashin) was formed by Hassan-i Sabbah. The Palestinian fedayeen (from the Arabic fidā'ī, plural fidā'iyūn, فدائيون) are militants or guerrillas of a nationalist orientation from among the Palestinian people. Most Palestinians consider the fedayeen to be freedom fighters.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1047463 By Brendan James Elliget MAGA 537. By Charles Parry. Arranged by Brendan James Elliget MAGA 537. Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 42 pages. BJE Music #652025. Published by BJE Music (A0.1047463). Dear Lord and Father of Mankind is a hymn with words taken from a longer poem, The Brewing of Soma by American Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier. The adaptation was made by Garrett Horder in his 1884 Congregational Hymns. In the United Kingdom, the hymn is usually sung to the tune Repton by C. Hubert H. Parry. [Wikipedia] This arrangement of the tune REPTON is for a large mixed ensemble, Concert Band or Orchestra but will work well with smaller combinations of instruments and keyboard which are also included in the PDF. It has been arranged to fit the singing of the 5 or sometimes 6 verses of the traditional words. There is also a descant part for Piccolo, Flute, and Trumpet (3rd and 6th verses) included in the PDF as in the recording. There is a key change for verses 5 and 6 (Eb to F). The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer 3… Grade = 3 Duration = 3:10 mins (6 Verses).

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1277133 Composed by Adrian Gagiu. 21st Century,Christian,Classical,Latin. 128 pages. Adrian Gagiu #868819. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1277133). Missa Solemnis in B major, op. 27 (conductor's score). Based on its Neo-classical style, this setting of the Roman Catholic mass text could possibly work as a festive mass (missa solemnis) with trumpets and timpani, and its duration would fit such a solemn service. However, its intense and sometimes dramatic treatment and universal addressability due to its well-known and rather concentrated text, yet also due to eliminating the „Filioque” (which would still fit the rhythm of the repeated „qui ex Patre”, should any Catholics ever wish to perform this as a mass) make it rather a „liturgical oratorio for all nations”, more appropriate in the concert hall. The work has had a long gestation: imagined in 1984 after the composer’s first contact with Beethoven’s masterpiece, then sketched first in 1987-1989, and many of its themes date back from those years. Its working out is quite polyphonic, discretely modal and cyclical, and also full of centuries-old musical symbols traditionally associated with the setting of the mass text: e.g. unisons for the more dogmatical parts, Baroque dotted rhythms at the Nativity (the first coming of the  King of Kings), „rex caelestis” and also at his Passion (whose setting is discretely inspired by folkloric Romanian laments), the „anabasis” gesture at „Gloria in excelsis Deo”, „et ascendit in caelis”, „in remissionem peccatorum” and the resurrection, a flute trill standing for the Holy Spirit who has come ’like a dove’ at „et incarnatus est”, a cross-shaped texture at „crucifixus”, and some word-painting (hushed sonorities at „et invisibilium”, anticipations between orchestra and chorus at „et exspecto” etc.). Moreover, certain symbolic roles are assigned to the instrumental groups when alone (the organ represents God the Father and transcendence, the winds and/or solo voices represent God the Son and humanity, and the strings represent the Holy Spirit). „Kyrie” is restrained and soft, besides the powerful chords opening the respective sections of its tripartite, simple structure, and it leans towards Palestrina’s serene modality and counterpoint. „Gloria” begins with a colorful orchestral introduction depicting discretely the shepherds who kept watch over their flocks right before the Nativity, and then gradually the bright revelation. „Credo” has an orchestral introduction as well, but powerful, recurring and based on the beginning of the plainchant hymn „Pange lingua”, made famous by Mozart’s last symphony and by other Classical composers. Both „Gloria” and „Credo” end with extended, powerful and elaborate fugues („in gloria Dei Patris” and „et vitam venturi saeculi”, respectively) with dramatic modulations and sometimes with enthusiastic syncopations at odds with the words’ accents, a la Stravinsky. The same sections plus „Agnus Dei” end with soft quartal harmonies suggesting transcendent appeasement (similar harmonies appear powerfully at the beginning of „Sanctus”). „Judicare” quotes the beginning of the well-known „Dies irae” plainchant tune, and the Consecration between the „Sanctus” and „Benedictus” sections is represented by a contemplative prelude for solo organ, quoting Lutheran chorales, too. Another long orchestral introduction, suggesting the Last Judgment and based on traditional Byzantine hymns, opens „Agnus Dei”, which includes another quotation (the famous ’Dresden Amen’ at „qui tollis peccata mundi” and „dona nobis pacem”). In the final section, with its refined simplicity, the choral voices enter in descending order, and the „Kyrie eleison” theme is briefly remembered, then it ends softly and peacefully. Total duration: 50 min. Performing Rights Organization: SOCAN. The mp3 audio clip is Kyrie.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.747198 Composed by Christopher R. Brown. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 77 pages. Christopher Brown #4628085. Published by Christopher Brown (A0.747198). About the song: In John 14, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. We are severely mistaken if we think that any other road leads to peace with God. No amount of good deeds could pay for the debt we owe. But we are also mistaken if we think that we are too far gone from Christ's reach. This song is a message for both the self-righteous and the hopeless. There is a Way that leads to life forevermore with our Heavenly Father, and His Name is Jesus Christ. All who enter through the gate of Christ by faith will be saved. He came that you might have life, and have it to the full. Rejoice! If you can believe, believe! Can be performed with piano accompaniment only, OR with additional band members (rhythm chart included), OR with full orchestra. Please Note:You can purchase individual copies of the choral score separately on Sheet Music Plus. Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1025416 Composed by Jehad Choate. Contemporary,Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 45 pages. Jehad Choate #5818515. Published by Jehad Choate (A0.1025416). Based off the texts of Joseph Campbell, this is a musical representation of the hero’s journey with a twist: The hero becomes fully aware of the cycle they are both blessed and cursed to follow. With every step, the hero fights the tropes of mythology, but can they escape their own fate?Movement I: The Calling introduces our main theme naively. It's done in a style reflective of all action/adventure genres: romantically boastful, one dimensional and confident. But as the call to adventure imposes itself on the hero, the hero begins to think that all is not what it seems to be.Movement II: The Motions is a set of trials where the hero experiences great loss, triumphant battles, and a renewed image. Yet, that is just the cycle they expected and its trite conclusion and three act distinction troubles the hero.Movement III: A Fool’s Reckoning is a response to being a pawn in someone else’s story. It takes all learned elements and tries to distort them to be something new and different. But what if this transformation was all part of the same cycle? The hero fights until they forget what they fight for. Reluctantly resilient, they carry on wondering if there was ever anything heroic about them at all.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1081594 Composed by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber. Arranged by Joshua Choe. Baroque,Classical,Sacred. Score and parts. 79 pages. JMJ Arrangements #685710. Published by JMJ Arrangements (A0.1081594). [W]hen the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the law of the Lord, 'Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord') and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, 'a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.' Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. And inspired by the Spirit he came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law, he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, 'Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word; for mine eyes have seen thy salvation which thou hast prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to thy people Israel.' And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, 'Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed.' ... And when they had performed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him. (Luke 2:22-35, 39-40 RSV-CE).

Full Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018872 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 38 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6056047. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018872). Programme Notes: Icarus Also Flew takes its title from the first line of the poem Failing and Flying by Jack Gilbert. He is referring to the classical myth of Daedalus and Icarus, an inventive father and son who bravely escape from their imprisonment in a tower by collecting the disposed feathers of seabirds, then fashion wings out of them and fly away. While the story is often treated as a morality tale--listen to your elders, don’t get cocky like the young man, Icarus, who, in such an understandable state of elation, ascended too close to the sun thus causing the wings to melt and his tumbling to his Mediterranean death--what Jack Gilbert reminds us is how regardless of one’s failure, the sheer transcendental experience of mortal flight remains glorious and unforgettable. Icarus’s fall was not into a legacy of disdain and oblivion, but in truth, he had come to the end of his triumph.  This piece was the first of a series I composed during the Covid-19 quarantine conditions of 2020, to serve as potential contemporary preludes for each of Ludwig van Beethoven’s nine symphonies--his two hundred and fiftieth anniversary was this year!--though they can all stand on their own on any program. The connection, in this case, is with his celebrated fifth symphony in C minor--the Fate symphony, as it is commonly known. I’ll let the listener find their own connections.About the Composer:Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings, with support from the Ontario Arts Council.
