'Lukas-Passion' was composed in 1977 at the suggestion of Helmuth Rilling and performed for the first time in 1978 at the Frankfurt Dreikönigskirche by the Frankfurt Kantorei and Bach Collegium Frankfurt under the direction of Rilling.
