Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1450384 Composed by Jerrald K Goldsmith. Arranged by Chris Siddall. Film/TV. 39 pages. Chris Siddall Music Publishing #1030115. Published by Chris Siddall Music Publishing (A0.1450384). When composer Jerry Goldsmith was asked to write the score for MacArthur, people were surprised that he accepted the project because they wondered what he would have left to say, musically, after Patton. Jerry‘s feeling was that MacArthur was a totally different person, and it would be a real challenge to write about another military figure but do it in a different manner. He said “it‘s much more flamboyant in a different sort of way, and it was an interesting task“. Patton enjoyed resounding critical praise and has since been elevated to the designation of a classic. The film won Academy Awards for nearly all of its major players, with composer Jerry Goldsmith being an unfortunate exception. Goldsmith had already written many scores for World War II topics in his short mainstream career, but none would prove as memorable in any part as the march from Patton, a concert hall staple for the composer throughout his career. Despite the dominance of this theme and the fact that only roughly thirty minutes of music was employed in such a long picture, the effect of his score on the film is far more complicated than many people may realize. While the famous march, with all its bravado from brass, flutes, and snare, easily represents the identity of the character and war, Goldsmith’s work for the film actually spends more time dwelling on the deeper meanings of life that the general himself explored.Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!

Full Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: A0.1008400 Composed by Claude Debussy. Arranged by A. Leytush. 20th Century. Score and parts. 19 pages. Arkady Leytush #6246337. Published by Arkady Leytush (A0.1008400). Debussy creates the effect of three hands playing. Lavine’s clown acts were accompanied by trumpets and drums, often backstage. Strident, spiritual and discreet: tongue-in-cheek. Sec, a dry sound for staccato chords. Debussy’s transformation of the American popular tune, Camp town Races. Sudden dynamic changes suggest the juggling act of General Lavine, tossing large and small items at the same time. This is a new orchestra transcription.

Published by Kevin Riley (A0.1493082). Music While You Work was a daytime radio programme of continuous live popular music broadcast in the United Kingdom twice daily on workdays from 23 June 1940 ]until 29 September 1967 by the BBC. Initially, the morning edition was generally broadcast on the BBC Home Service at 10:30am, with the afternoon edition at 3pm on the Forces/General Forces Programme - and after the war on the BBC Light Programme. Between August 1942 and July 1945, a third edition was broadcast at 10:30pm for night-shift workers. The programme began in World War II with the idea that playing non-stop popular/light music at an even tempo would help factory workers become more productive.[4][5] It originally consisted of live music (light orchestras, dance bands, brass and military bands and small instrumental ensembles). In order to make studios more available during the day, it was decided in 1963 that the shows would be pre-recorded (often in the evening or on Sundays).

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1378418 Composed by Isaac Albeniz. Arranged by A. Leytush. 19th Century. 98 pages. Arkady Leytush #963038. Published by Arkady Leytush (A0.1378418). Albeniz completed only La Vega (on 26 January 1897) and the first 16 bars of Generalife. The score was written in piano solo format, and La Vega was later orchestrated. The orchestral version of La Vega was never published however, but the composer decided to publish the piano solo version after discarding the last three pages and writing a new, more developed version of the entire piece, with a reprise of the opening A section taking the place of the three discarded pages. This new expanded version was completed on 14 February 1897 and published that year. The piece lasts approximately 14 minutes. «La Vega» is an evocation of the Granada plains on the edge of the city, a musical reflection, as the composer put it, contemplated from the Alhambra Palace. Claude Debussy, on hearing Albeniz play the piece, enthusiastically told him of his wish to immediately go and discover Granada.

Full Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1019535 Composed by Peter Petrack. Contemporary. Score and parts. 167 pages. Distributed by The Wayfarer Partnership, LLC. #3516473. Published by Distributed by The Wayfarer Partnership, LLC. (A0.1019535). The Penitence of Time is an Orchestral tone poem based on the many ghost stories told about historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, especially those about Moravian College’s own music building, the 1748 Brethren’s House. It was used as a Revolutionary War hospital and meeting place for George Washington and his generals.   Bethlehem may or may not be a haven for phantoms and specters, but it is certainly defined by the centuries of history that happened there. Listeners will hear orchestral bells striking midnight, as well as references to church chorales and Revolutionary War-era fife and drum. If you'd like to hear the full recording, feel free to visit Peter Petrack's Youtube channel.

Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533656). Orbital (2003) for orchestra was commissioned by New Music Tomorrow and is dedicated tocomposer Georges Lentz. The work is a brief meditation, played throughout at a slow tempo and a generally quietdynamic level. After an atmospheric introductory section which hints at the principalmaterial, the work slowly traverses a grid of pitches and intervallic structures -- eachinstrumental group orbiting at its own pace. The musical material is derived from a coloredwhole-tone scale (in its prime form: C, D, E, F#, G#, A#, B).The poetic image was one of a distant planet, slowly orbiting -- amid the vast expansive voidof outer space. It is a mystical and prayerful piece -- as if we are watching this orbit amidstthe great expanse while contemplating existential questions.Instrumentation3 Flutes2 Oboes2 Clarinets in Bb2 Bassoons3 Horns in F3 Trumpets in CPercussion (1 player: tubular bells)3 Obbligato Violins(NOTE: The three violins may be discreetly amplified. Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495812 Composed by Paul Williams. Arranged by Kevin Riley. Christmas. 49 pages. Kevin Riley #1072342. Published by Kevin Riley (A0.1495812). The Muppet Christmas Carol is a 1992 American Christmas musical film directed by Brian Henson (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Jerry Juhl. It is the fourth theatrical film featuring the Muppets. Adapted from the 1843 novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, the film stars Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge, alongside Muppet performers Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Jerry Nelson, and Frank Oz. Although artistic license is taken to suit the aesthetic of the Muppets, The Muppet Christmas Carol otherwise follows Dickens's original story closely. It is the first Muppet film to be produced following the deaths of Muppets creator Jim Henson and performer Richard Hunt; the film is dedicated to both. The film was released in the United States on December 11, 1992, by Buena Vista Pictures Distribution under its Walt Disney Pictures label. It was a modest box office success and received generally favorable reviews. It is the first Muppets film to be produced by Walt Disney Pictures, whose parent company would later acquire the rights to the Muppets characters and assets in 2004.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004946 Composed by Rob Birdwell. Contemporary,Film/TV,Pop,World. Score and parts. 57 pages. Birdwell Music LLC #4634031. Published by Birdwell Music LLC (A0.1004946). Full symphonic underscore for a poem dedicated to all Dogs in the world. It's a sentimental offering, but one intended to raise awareness of the need to support organizations that shelter and care for animals in order to find them homes where they can live long, happy and healthy lives. The musical underscore starts off dramatic but soon becomes more atmospheric to underscore the poem.  The poem is timed somewhat to the music, however, each reader will offer their own interpretation and cadence to fit within the overall fabric of the music. The score is particularly suited for professional orchestras especially since it calls for two harpists and a full compliment of strings, winds, and brass, and a variety of interesting percussion.  Everything about the score is intended to underscore the poem reader, so dynamics are generally soft and the score will work and sound great even with orchestras lacking some of the instrumentation.Portions of all proceeds from sales of this score will be donated to charities supporting the care of Dogs, Cats, and other animals and it is the composer's/poet's wish that live performances will make the most of the symphonic hall setting to encourage others to donate generously to organizations that promote animal well-being.
